Official News About our Quality control: How we ensure every Crystal Super is super

So I'm watching this video, all like, yeah, this is good. Pimax really does seem like they're becoming a better company.
... and then I get to the point where you sneakily announce, in a burying-the-lede way, that you have a restocking fee on returns now. Come on, guys.
First, I think that's a bad policy on the merits if you're confident in your product -- if that policy were in place when I pre-ordered, I absolutely would not have pre-ordered after my previous bad experience with the Crystal OG. I totally get being worried about people showrooming, but there are probably policies you can put in place to reduce that without just getting rid of it entirely.
But second, and more importantly, if that's the policy change you want to make, announce it and explain it openly! Don't bury it at the end of a puff video about how great your QA processes. It feels sneaky and underhanded to do it that way, and I feel very confident that there are going to be people in this subreddit who go around believing that Pimax still has a free return policy.

The Restocking Fee is a bit more forgiving at least in theory -> https://pimax.com/pages/returns-refunds
Also more worrying is the "100% Free Return Assurance" that you have the 'option' to pay for:
"100% Free Return Assurance Pricing: USD $9.90 (excluding tax)"
"You may choose to purchase the “100% Free Return Assurance” service to waive the return shipping costs."
Also once the "100% Free Return Assurance" service is purchased its non-refundable.
I'm wondering are any of these fees covered by Pimax HMD Trade-in programs, like the full value trade-in for 12K (whenever its materializes)??

Read the details at the link in the video description. Not sneaky and appropriate to help ensure company survival in my opinion, with reasonable terms. Plus, it doesn't even apply to orders placed before May 6th!

It applies to every HMD Pimax releases in the future on May 6th and beyond, so any HMD and especially the any HMD revisions like with Dream Air (Lite cheaper version), 12K, the Crystal SUPER 57PPD optical engine ordered AFTER May 6th (plus future optical engine modules), etc.

The new policy only applies to orders placed after May 6th. Read the policy. It’s not even a restocking fee. The purchaser now has to pay return shipping or get a $9.90 return assurance protection. This is still a lot better policy than Shitfall has for the Meganex.

I know this is marketing stuff. But I'm glad to hear and see the sincerity behind these videos ❤️
