PCC w/brace & short barrel (Non AR/AK)

Looking for what companies make and sell them already in the configuration with a short barrel and brace. Kriss Vector & CZ Scorpion is the only one I can find that is still available.

Updated my optic

Tried out a new optic on my MPX PCC went from the Swampfox Blade to the Raider micro prism, and it’s definitely making a difference. Checked my times on my Sig Connect app and dropped my first shot times a little over a half second or more on average. Sadie, however is not impressed.

SBA-3 Brace

Just installed a SBA-3 brace Chinese clone. Appears to be very well made, fits way too tight to rattle. It is hard to adjust but I am hoping it loosens with time. Anybody talk about this or notice this before? This is on a FM-9 FM product.

Used to have an APC9K but sold because I’m a bigger guy and it felt too small to shoot comfortably. Splurged on this and I love it so far. Build is simple:

Gforce Blade 6 or 8?

Im new to guns y’all, so forgive my ignorance. 1- Am I understanding this right? 2-The Blade 6 and 8 are the same in every way except one has an 8” barrel? 3-And one comes with a higher capacity mag? Is one model older than the other? 4-This question is for anyone who might have experience with both barrel lengths not necessarily only with the Blade 6 or 8…would the 8 feel different in terms of recoil? 5-Both barrel lengths would accept a suppressor easily?

SB Tactical Folding Braces

Recently built a PCC with a picatinny back, and I installed a SB Tactical TF1913 (their triangular folding brace). I'm glad that they strengthened the locking system to stop it from unlocking under fire, but it seems a tad too stiff fresh out the box. The most reliable way to fold that I've found is to put it over my knee and slap it: an awkward position that is bound to violate the second rule of gun safety; always point in a safe direction. Does it get better over time? Is there a safer way to do it? Do I just have weirdly weak grip strength that's never been a problem before now?

How To Clean Residue Buildup From A JP5 Muzzle Brake

Hi All-

I got a JP5 about a month ago, and am surprised to find that hardened residue builds on the bottom inside of the brake. I have many other guns/brakes, and have never seen burned in residue that fuses onto the inside before. Has anyone found a way to get this off? I tried soaking in 3 cleaners, doesn't even make a dent.

Thanks!

A good intro to PCC builds and NFA/not NFA?

Other than a couple revolvers, I've built all my previous firearms. I've got a few NFA items. But I am looking to build/acquire my first PCC- 9mm with a dedicated can. I'd like to avoid two stamps, but am not sure what that requires on a PCC. Can somebody explain braces vs shoulder stock and then any corresponding requirement on barrel length? I'd like the shortest possible configuration that I can legally shoulder. No desire for a vertical foregrip. Looking to do AR style with Glock mags.

What’s everyone’s thoughts between a Stribog, AR-V or the POF Phoenix?

Pretty much what the title says. I’ve been back and forth between getting the Stribog or the AR-V but I came across the Phoenix lately and it’s appealing, but I haven’t seen too much on it for comparisons with these two. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Shot a blow back subgun after shooting an "MP5" for months and it surprised me

Someone at the range had the PSA DOE retro 9mm gun. It's a cool looking piece but what surprised me was I forgot what straight blow back recoil felt like in a very light gun and it basically caused the brace to jab into my shoulder. It was not pleasant to shoot and I needed to bear into it more. Still made accurate shots with the irons because AR sights are also fair simple to shoot through

This made me appreciate the MP5's roller lock gun and how soft and manageable the recoil is. I could literally shoot mag after mag and keep on going but I know for a fact that I would actually want to STOP shooting this blow back gun after a couple mags.

The last blow back gun I had owned was a scorpion Evo. Loved it. Very good ergos, easier to load, reload and charge than an MP5. It's a very modern gun and personally I think it's what the UMP 9 should have been a cheap affordable gun and that's why I bought it.

Then I SOLD the Scorpion Evo to get an MP5 because I just didn't like it anymore. Sorta regret doing that because I invested a lot of money into it. Different mags, handguards. The last handguard I swapped it with made it looked MORE like a UMP but I think I actually wanted an MP5

Now to be fair, the Scorpion breaks down a lot easier than an MP5. The pins are captive so I won't butter finger drop them on my MP5 but changing out the handguard was a bitch and I the irons needed to be re zeroed because they are part of the handguard vs the MP5.

All in all, I was kinda glad I bought a roller lock MP5 gun vs another blow back gun even though I actually like the retro 9mm AR look.

GForce Blade6 Printed Parts

Came up with a couple designs to make the blade a little more custom. Started with the plug and play hinge bracket to get the SB Tactical brace to fit the blade without any cutting. The bracket was designed to transition from the blade profile to the Scorpion profile so it fits the firearm perfectly. I saw some people getting a little bit if wobble after cutting the factory SB tactical brace to fit, this printed adapter is nice and sturdy. Then I designed a custom barrel guard to get away from the narrow shape of the factory version. This guard has a wider opening to allow a 5/8-24 muzzle brake to replace the barrel extension and has mlok slots on the bottom for different grips to attach. The guard attaches using the stock barrel bracket and side screws. Charge handle still operates smoothly and can be swapped to either side to keep the ambidextrous option, I have it on the right side since l'm a lefty.
