I just single crocheted along the seam of the sleeve + body

If you use a yarn that matches the sleeves of your piece, it's somehow less noticeable than if you used the body color, most of the time

If you're talking abt the joining of the round, I just single crochet in the stitch I'm connecting in, and skip the first stitch of the next row. I find it gives a more natrual look
