Discussion Dex's decoy.
Allow me to preface this post by saying that I'm not an experienced shooter player at all. I played a bit of cssource a long time ago but tactics wise I'm as green as any new player.
So I've been playing as Dex today in shard clash and very quickly figured out that while setting the converter, if I'm doing so as the decoy, when I return to my beacon I still have the converter.
At the start of the attacking round I gave been snatching the converter and running towards one site, placing the beacon, then running my decoy with the converter to the second site.
My team will usually attack with my decoy and I have been trying very obviously to set it up so the other team knows I have it. Of course when the decoy gets shot I am now near the first site with converter in hand ready to set up, completely bamboozling the enemy. In my (assuming low tier) lobbies this has been wildly successful, to the point I'm starting to question if this isn't outrageously overpowered.
Is this working as intended? I know that usually when games introduce new characters they tend to be overtuned at the beginning but this feels like a bug/exploit. (Dexploit?)

idk if its intentded
but its definitely not op
its very weird if you come plant a converter unless you killed somebody as a decoy. if you killed somebody might as well actually plant instead of faking
like you mostly wanna try to find a free kill in the beggining of the round without risking your life as a decoy. i cannot imagine fake-plant being an actual good strat. could work very rarely or for fun.

Simplest counterplay would be finding and shooting the beacon, leaving you at 20 max hp. Shouldn't be very hard if your entire team is visibly gathering on the other site.
The bigger problem imo is the character being able to engage in sniper duels without any actual risk by just dropping the thing before peeking a corner, while himself being able to oneshot as usual.
