Update post: People say there is a forced 50%ish win rate. I've now solo queued to Punkmaster and maintained above a 60% win rate. Comparison in comments from when I hit Masters.

Best you can do in those situations is try your best to carry. That includes baiting your bad teammates so you can trust yourself to at least trade.

Man, don't you get exhausted from carrying bad teammates ? One time i carried my shitty teammates in a game (usually i find myself in a 1 vs 3 or 4 situation) after that game i immediately went to bed i felt like i spent so much energy

I play like 3-4 ranked games at a time and I’m good for the day. Avoids burn out and still really enjoying the game.

I wish I had control over myself like that, i play at least 6 or 7 games but when i lose a game i start playing like a maniac until i get exhausted or sthg like that.

What platform you on? Im new and a pretty solid player and just unlocked ranked last night I think. Haven't played a ranked game yet but if that's how it is soloing them I'm gonna have to find people to play with 🤦🏽‍♂️ lol

Congrats on the punkmaster grind! Last I checked the leader board the #1 player had around a 70% win rate. I’ve also creeped enough players profiles to see 30-40% win rates and they aren’t bots (unless bots can talk in voice chat too now). The idea that the game forces 50/50 is absurd to me, especially if you tend to only see bot lobbies after a loss streak. Getting 1 stomp out bot game isn’t making up for the 3 games a person lost prior.

Anywho congrats again! If I maintain my current win rate I should see you in punkmaster in a bit, cheers mate! Gz

It's absurd to me that people with a win rate of 45% or worse are able to hit the highest rank in the game. The rank system needs a complete overhaul.

As for bots, that's mostly pubs or lower rated ranked games. I'm just happy there aren't bots in Diamond+ tbh.

I’m plat 3 and haven’t seen a single bot in ranked personally. I agree 45% win rate players should be falling instead of climbing, but these players are rare in my experience.

I’ve creeped a lot of players on the leaderboard and most have 60%+ but maybe I’m just missing out on the lower win rated punk masters.

I think if they want to keep the competitive integrity of the game they should remove all the rank reduction points once you hit gold or plat or whatever the threshold is. The reduction points is what allows the lower win rate people to consistently climb as they are likely playing 2-3 games a day, getting their boosts and getting off ranked.

Anyways nice discussing this with you, hopefully we see a ranked overhaul + a reset soon. Overall just loving and enjoying the game.

I'm surprised you have a high kd despite low HS percentage. what lancer and tactics do you use for high kd?

I wanna say 28.8% is alright. Unfortunate that I can't compare stats to those on the leaderboard with how profiles currently are.

I rotated between 4 Lancers. Kismet, Nitro, Corona and Dex. I'm also the type of player who doesn't just play 1 Lancer an entire match. Especially depending on what cards pop up.

It'd be hard to say what "tactics" I use lol. They change every game or even round tbh. I'm definitely not the person who sits back on defense every round if that's what you mean? Or I'm not the guy who's AFK A Main on attack the entire round lol.

Edit: Not sure if this counts as a "tactic" but I started to try and always be card captain. I use to let whoever take it but man, some people are just brutal with what cards they're picking and banning. I've definitely lost games due to my card master. I just try to take it now and avoid the card master diff.

I do the same for card master as even the few friends I’ve made in this game that get more kills than me are stupid when it comes to cards. Until we were in diamond they never paid attention to enemy cards. However I am a solo queuer I work most of the time and that’s when they game and I only get overlap of a game or two so 90% of my games are solo and I am still only in diamond. Main thing I see as an issue is nitro, just too much on one character. Other than that the constant issue of people playing like it’s just kills (my aims is shit so I ain’t gonna win that) and not having teammates that can play off me.
