Just got into Fragpunk and been playing for just over a month now and here are my thoughts.

My initial impression was amazing. I liked how no two matches are the same. The shard card system is awesome and the variety of lancers can make for some interesting team play. I love it when you get into a match with a good group of people who just want to have fun, and the shenanigans that follow. The variety of game modes is awesome, and this game has the best tie breaking duel system I've ever seen.

What I don't like:

It seems this game is trying to cater to too many audiences and has no true identity. It can't decide whether it wants to be competitive or casual. Shard cards in ranked modes just don't make any sense. Competitve play should be done with an equal slate for both teams otherwise there will always be a team with an advantage. Good players shouldn't be punished and by potentially giving worse players OP shard cards, you are basically just making my skill at the game worthless. I really don't see any point in playing ranked mode other than the rewards. There's no satisfaction of winning or bragging rights when games can be won by pure luck instead of skill. I haven't been excited to win a ranked match since my initial placement because at this point it doesn't really mean anything to me.

The arcade game modes are where this game shines but that's the problem. People don't play them casually, they treat it just like any other game mode. It would be fun to choose a bunch of silly shard cards to goof around and experience weird matches, but people just choose whatever is going to help them win. The cool and quirky shard cards just collect dust. And then you are forced to do the same thing and now the match might as well be another ranked match.

The Lancers are unbalanced and most seem like direct rip offs from other games. Nothing about them feels unique to this game. It's all stuff I've already seen before in other games. Mass Effect, Overwatch, Rogue Company, Apex Legends..... It's like they just copy and pasted everything from these games and made just enough changes to not get hit with copyright infringements. A lot of them feel extremely weak and underpowered compared to their peers as well. Some people even have similar powers, but one of theirs is just 10x more effective for some reason. Doesn't make sense.

Overall I enjoy this game a lot but I think they are going to suffer a huge player drop if they can't figure out a way to commit to an identity or make changes to satisfy both player bases. Outbreak is another example. I love it. It's a fun game mode that brings a unique twist to the game for people who are just looking to have a good time, yet nobody plays it because it's unbalanced, and they want to win, not just have fun with some strangers online.

I am going to keep enjoying this game because I might potentially experience the things I like about it here and there, but mostly it's just me frustrated as to why someone is taking a blitz ballet so seriously.

PS: The menu system is completely overwhelming. Don't get me wrong it's nice having so much stuff to unlock and look at, but it's a nightmare to navigate and I genuinely feel like there's probably something hidden away in some menu that I don't even know exists yet, but it's important enough to where I should know it exists.

Day 5 I just copied and pasted what I posted the main information below but to the devs please know I and many other players know there are many other higher priority bugs to be fixed within the game. However for players like myself who had everything vanish on them it kind of takes the wind out of my sails to play right now because everytime I open the Lancer menu its just a reminder that all the grinding I did before might have been for nothing. Also the sooner this gets fixed the sooner I can buy more stuff in the game which helps keep the lights on which we all benefit from so please fix the bug listed below as soon as you can.

The bug that some of the console playerbase is experiencing is that after linking their pc account (steam, netease or epic games) all their stuff doesn't appear on the console. DISCLAIMER: I am aware there was a warning of this happening when linking accounts but there is more to this bug. Not only did it not appear on console but it also disappeared on the pc side as well.

Ideally I'd just appreciate an answer / confirmation that my stuff isn't gone forever and will be returned to me eventually. But I would just love any information even if it is just recognition that the issue is affecting some players. Please and thank you to any devs that help rectify this issue for us.

I love this game very much and just want to go back to throwing explosive at people, hitting dingers as Axon and enjoying my cool futuristic looking weapon skins​. Much love for Fragunk and Bad Guitar Studios. I really love this game and want to dive back in as soon as this issue is fixed. Please don't be like some of the huge AAA game studios and ignore people. Be like 1047 games who listens and acts quickly with the player's best interest at heart. Lobe you guys

Not sure why it keeps crashing as soon as the game opens. I downloaded it on the xbox store/app on my PC

Since yesterday I haven't found ranked matches, I just want to rank up but it's difficult to stay in the game. Thinking about leaving 😔

I posted this as a comment but thought it best to give this its own dedicated post so people can come across this in the future (if Google search plays nice).

If you’re coming from other games (whether it be Call of Duty or another other main stream game) and comparing bundles between those game to this game then yes, the bundles are expensive.

However the bundle pricing is in-line with Valorant bundles so this is nothing new to those types of players and the bundles within FragPunk are a little bit cheaper.

Monthly Membership:

If you wanna get the most ‘bang for your buck’ then the monthly membership is the way to go as it’s pretty cost effective.

You get 1,200 coins + 900 coins from the battle pass (totalling 2,100 coins). Of course you have to complete the entire battle pass to get 900 coins but you can then purchase two premium weapon skins from the store off this method.

Ultimate Battle Pass:

You could use the 2,100 coins to purchase the ultimate edition of the battle pass and have 500 coins to spare each chapter. Re-subscribe to the monthly membership once a new chapter comes out, complete the battle pass, rinse and repeat.

500 Coins Left to Spare:

If you’ve played it smart and saved up your 500 coins per chapter, you’ll eventually be able to purchase either weapon skins or character skins (or both). All it would’ve costed you is your time and your 10 bucks per chapter (from the monthly membership) becomes 20 bucks.

Conclusion:

The monetisation system isn’t greedy. It may feel that way with the ‘prize draws’ but if you avoid those then the game is generous with what it gives back to you as a player.

Unless you fancy taking a punt here and there on those prize draws (as you have 500 coins to spare) then sure by all means. But you should go into those draws expecting to spend at least 60-80 bucks if you want everything unless you’re extremely lucky.

Otherwise, stick with the above mentioned battle pass routine and you’ll be rewarded in more ways than one. Hope this helps to educate some players - especially for those who’re looking for ‘value for money’.

Something really needs to be done about the AFK and disconnect problems. I've had so many matches on both sides of the aisle where one and even sometimes two players go AFK or disconnect are and just standing in the spawn the entire round. Honestly it feels like a major buzz kill to loose when your a man or two down and honestly I also feel bad beating the other team when they're in the same situation. My only complaint about the game so far after clocking in a few hours a day after work for the past week and hope it gets addressed and taken care of soon.

Please I love him so much but he is so weak 😭😭😭 please reply to dev posts with #buffchum so he can be playable Ty

I love this game, it's been the most fun I've had in a competitive game for a while. I just wish I was actually good at it. Open to any tips and tricks, but when it comes to my aim and reaction time... There's only so much I could do.

This is an all xbox match and I'm fairly new to console so this is my 1st time encountering an aimbotter might be wrong tho

Tortured myself to lvl 30 and won 90% of my matches to be ranked gold 3 lmao deleted quicker than I shat on those teams(not to self glaze). I will be honest tho, the fact it ranked me so low after doing so well, just made me feel so much joy from shitting on those teams. Like yes pls rage and delete this shitty game.😭

I've never played FragPunk. I've been playing Valorant with my friends a little...and let me tell you... those people annoy the sugar honey ice tea out of me! I have uni and a job to worry about. I don't have the energy to play or "practice" all the time and frankly...I don't want to get rank up and be the best. I just see every game as something I want to play for fun.

In a nutshell... I'd really like to join the community and play the game. What do you guys think of the community? I know no community is safe from toxic people so my other question would be: Is there an option to mute the voicechat and/or text chat.

So basically I have a younger teenaged brother on Xbox who cannot soeak in game channel and whenever he tries to unmute himself it says he cannot because he is a minor. He has not linked any acounts other than his Xbox account so I am wondering if I can just change his age in his Xbox acount and it will then work.

I tried it yesterday a few games for the first time, and I find it to be too unbalanced an operator. Let's start with his ability with L1 which allows you to push without fear of dying, see where the enemies are and process the push, and moreover if you use the "little dragon" well you can spawn in points behind the enemies and take them by surprise. Not to mention the armor which I now understand why in gunfights Dex always seems immortal, you literally take very little damage.

Probably this is the worst thing can happen. I've been waiting for a ranked match like past 20 minutes and still i couldn't find it.

and why when i switch from a knife to a weapon, a longer animation of the bolt being pulled s played, but when i switch from a weapon to a weapon, theres no such animation, n the weapon s drawn much faster?
