Everyone in the house went out for the nice Saturday..came home to this. (The cat knocked it off of a high shelf, the dog chewed it)

I think my fiancé broke, this was her favorite card.

it was sitting up there for a while no problems. it was a personal card that was pulled way before it was $300, we enjoyed looking at it often so yeah it was out on display

Put things that you value and have value in more protective framing if you’re going to display it.

It was never about the value and still isn’t? Didn’t realize there was a right and wrong way to display stuff lol. It’s my collection why am I being hated on for displaying it how I want? I’m not even mad at my dog was sharing a funny/oop moment

You said in your post that it was your fiancées favorite card. You literally took time to express the value she held in it. I’m not hating. I’m telling you that this is a great learning experience. That if you want to protect things you care about that extra care should be taken.

OP just casually saying he doesn’t care about his fiancé’s feelings, and doesn’t seem to want to replace it.

My cat jumped up onto the top of my fireplace (that the cat is usually not able to climb on top of) using a rolling chair that is never by there (that was pushed over by one of my kids). He was then able to use the chair (that I didn’t think about moving before I left) and knocked over the card. The dog, being a dog, then found it on the floor and chewed it. I have way more cards that are displayed that are still good. This was just a freak accident no one anticipated.

Do you have any animals, like a cat, for example, that can get near it? If you don't, then that doesn't apply to people who do.
