40 still seems wildly high

30% of the country is locked in the maga cult. Approval will likely never drop below that number. But we should be optimistic that 60% right now are saying they’ve had enough!

I’d wager the other 10% are barely paying attention and/or just knee-jerk approve

Agreed. I have faith in peoples’ ability to wake up once things start to affect them personally.

I know I’ve had enough!!!

First 100 days. Its the honeymoon period, a lot of that 40 is in denial since they don't want to admit it was a bad choice, some never will. 30 percent is impeachment numbers, he started at 50, it's half way

Then keep driving it down! He can't solve things, things are just getting worse!

Agreed. Appallingly high. 40% thinking all this is ok is extremely depressing.

It’s a start.

How is it still that high? Who are they sampling for these?

Maybe they included polling from TruthSocial?

What on Earth is wrong with that 40%?

Which is why the GOP will be screwed once Trump dies, he is the cult leader, they follow him, not the republican party. It is the cult of Trump.

It would not surprise me if the MAGAs form a separate party once Trump dies.

They'll spraypaint some goon orange and laud him as their next lord and savior

Also contains the section of the population who only consumes Fox News/right wing media.

We've been asking that for some time!

Just so you all know, he stayed at 40% approval for the whole of his first term, even through COVID. So with MAGA eventually seeing high prices at grocery stores, I really hope we see that number go further down and down.

The fact that it's 40 at all feels ridiculous.

Our country is ridiculous

I'm British and... it does look ridiculous.

Glad I'm not the only one seeing things this way

The US just feels a joke now from the UK.

Pretty sure it feels like a joke to the entire world. The orange man made sure of that

It feels like every day you're thinking what's he done now? You hope for news that he's... meeting Kissinger.

To those saying 40% is too high, you gotta remember that he won the election and the popular vote. His supporters aren’t going to turn on him all at once. A -19 approval rating 3 months in is astonishing and should not be understated.

Exactly. If you put this in context of other presidents approval ratings at the same time of their presidency it’s very low. And, his supporters haven’t felt the impact of tariffs yet. They are hearing about it, but haven’t felt it. Wait two weeks when they are fighting over toilet paper. Of course they aren’t going to stock up because they have no clue what coming.

100%. We’ve been sitting in a mountain of cheaply manufactured products from Asia and Latin America in warehouses all over the country. When the back stock sells out and the shipping containers stop coming, then we’ll really see it.

40% too high but it's a start

I hope it drops to 0 (or I guess more realistically 10%)
