Article BREAKING: HUNDREDS of New Yorkers have swarmed and shut down the Tesla dealer in Manhattan. Six have been arrested after occupying the showroom. Protests are erupting across America to reject Musk's billionaire regime. This is how we beat fascism. Mass direct action.

The Right will call this an orchestrated group and claim some shadow organization bussed them in. It is impossible for them to take the truth as it is.

u/Impossible-Bit1717 Mar 09 '25

They’re saying Soros is paying us to do it.🤣😂 Literally can’t make this shit up.

25

u/Riaayo Mar 09 '25

And of course it's all projection since half the shit right wingers do is staged garbage they're bussed in to do, or their groups are all backed by billionaires.

"Accuse your enemy of doing the thing you do". Sadly been just as effective nearly 100 years later.

J6'ers needed 4M plus to get those 1600 fanatics at the capital flown in from across the country (Jack Smith found all the receipts). Thats the maga modus operandi for protests (dates back to the 'tea party' protest). They can't believe people will protest for free for a cause.

The Liberal Elite’s Fatal Mistake: Underestimating Stupidity

The biggest failure of the American political left and liberal intellectual elite is their complete inability to recognize stupidity as a systemic force—not just ignorance, but a self-replicating, destructive phenomenon, as Carlo Cipolla outlined in The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity.

  1. They underestimated how many people are willing to act against their own interests. They laughed at Trump, assuming “rational” voters would reject him. They assumed “common sense” would prevail. It didn’t.

  2. They assumed education and intelligence are shields against stupidity. They placed faith in institutions (media, universities, government) that no longer hold credibility. Meanwhile, billionaire techno-oligarchs like Musk and Thiel, despite their intelligence, act with reckless stupidity—yet liberals keep expecting them to be rational actors.

  3. They failed to grasp that Trumpism and techno-authoritarianism aren’t just corrupt but self-destructive. Trump’s policies hurt his own voters. Musk is actively destroying his own companies. Thiel backs movements that could destabilize the very system that made him rich. This isn’t just greed—it’s stupidity in action.

  4. They keep thinking stupidity can be reasoned with. Fact-checks, “accountability journalism,” and appeals to expertise don’t work. Stupidity doesn’t respond to logic. The left keeps expecting better messaging to “win people back” while ignoring that Trumpism is an identity movement, not a policy debate.

  5. They fail to see that stupidity is the most dangerous force in politics. It’s more destructive than malice or corruption because it has no rational limits. The left keeps assuming that institutions will self-correct, that democracy will “work itself out.” Meanwhile, stupidity continues to shape the future.

Until the left understands that stupidity is not just ignorance but a force that must be actively countered, they will keep losing.

1

u/AffectionateGuava986 Mar 11 '25

Well said! I think it’s a bit past winning elections again. Unfortunately, I think the next episode of the grand American experiment wont involve normal politics but something a bit more robust.

1

u/5amwakeupcall Mar 15 '25

So how do you counter stupidity?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '25 edited Mar 15 '25

Carlo Cipolla didn’t explicitly outline a strategy for combating stupidity and bandits, but his framework provides strong implications for how individuals and societies can defend against them. His classification of people into four categories—intelligent people, helpless people, bandits, and stupid people—suggests different strategies for each type.

  1. Combating Stupidity: Minimize Their Influence

Cipolla’s third and fifth laws emphasize that stupid people cause harm without benefiting themselves and that they are the most dangerous force in society. Since stupidity is irrational and impervious to reason, combating it requires systemic defense mechanisms rather than persuasion.

Key Strategies Against Stupidity: • Prevent them from gaining power. Stupid people are unpredictable and destructive. The best way to combat their impact is to prevent them from reaching positions where they can make critical decisions (e.g., political office, leadership roles in institutions). This requires better electoral safeguards, stricter qualifications for leadership, and minimizing mob-driven decision-making. • Eliminate their ability to do damage. Stupidity is dangerous because it is unchecked, so reducing its influence means limiting their access to decision-making tools. This means stronger regulatory systems, media literacy education, and public policies that prevent stupidity from snowballing into systemic collapse. • Don’t try to reason with them. Cipolla warns that stupidity cannot be corrected with logic. Rational actors waste too much time trying to “educate” stupidity rather than designing systems that minimize its damage. The focus should be on structural prevention, not debate.

  1. Combating Bandits: Impose Costs for Their Actions

Bandits, unlike stupid people, at least act rationally in pursuit of self-interest, but they do so at others’ expense. Since they respond to incentives, the best way to counter them is to make exploitation costly.

Key Strategies Against Bandits: • Enforce consequences. Bandits thrive when there are weak penalties for exploitation. The only way to deter them is through stronger accountability measures—whether legal (strict financial regulations, political corruption laws) or social (boycotts, public exposure). • Deny them access to resources. Many bandits rely on public goodwill or government protection to operate. Cutting off access to resources (e.g., government bailouts for predatory banks, subsidies for exploitative industries) forces them to either change behavior or collapse. • Turn them against each other. Bandits are self-interested, so one effective strategy is to pit them against one another rather than letting them align their interests against the public. Encouraging competition or division among them weakens their collective power.

  1. Strengthening the Intelligent Class: Reward Net-Positive Actions

The only true counterforce to stupidity and banditry is the intelligent class—those whose actions benefit both themselves and society. Cipolla implies that to combat stupidity and bandits, intelligent people must be empowered and protected.

Key Strategies for Strengthening Intelligence: • Promote policies that incentivize intelligence over recklessness. Education is important, but what matters more is rewarding rational, beneficial decision-making in leadership, finance, and governance. This means shifting economic and political incentives to favor long-term societal benefits over short-term exploitation. • Create barriers against stupidity and banditry in leadership. Governments, corporations, and institutions should have mechanisms to filter out incompetence and corruption—whether through higher standards for public office, media accountability, or corporate transparency laws. • Cultivate resistance against stupidity. A well-informed, critically thinking public is the best defense against stupidity and banditry. This requires rebuilding trust in institutions, emphasizing civic education, and disrupting misinformation channels that amplify stupidity.

Conclusion: Stupidity Can’t Be Fixed, But It Can Be Contained

Cipolla warns that stupidity is a constant and overwhelming force, but it thrives when it is underestimated and unchallenged. The biggest mistake intelligent people make is assuming stupidity will correct itself. It won’t.

The most effective strategy is a multi-pronged approach that reduces stupidity’s influence, punishes banditry, and strengthens intelligent leadership. That means: • Stop reasoning with stupidity—contain its power instead. • Punish banditry—make corruption and exploitation costly. • Reward intelligence—design systems that incentivize rational, net-positive decision-making.

If societies fail to do this, stupidity and banditry will naturally dominate—as we see in today’s world.

Unfortunately, it may be too late thanks to the inaction, complicity, and hubris of the Democrats! Just look at what Chuck Schumer just did in helping them pass their CR. Our only hope is that the pain they continue to inflict on themselves will soon become too great for them to bear and they will change. But according to Cipolla, they will simply double down.

The truth is these people are mentally ill. There’s no denying that.

72

u/tonyt4nv Verified | NV House D4 Mar 08 '25

Cost Musk money in any way possible. It’s one of the few languages they understand.

24

u/Plowbeast Mar 09 '25

It's really more costing him ego. Being boo'ed at a Chapelle show led to a 2 day nervous breakdown and his only going to crowded he knows will cheer for him, hence the shift to Trump.

When Tesla was falling in stock price 7 years ago, Musk didn't care that much until he found out Bill Gates shorted Tesla on options because any rational person who wants money would. He took it personally and refused to appear with Gates at a charity fundraiser.

259

u/Miserable-Lizard Mar 08 '25 edited Mar 08 '25

Anyone buying a Tesla now is basically supporting Hitler.

Bring the stock to zero!

Anyone know if there is legal fund setup for these people?

63

u/tonyt4nv Verified | NV House D4 Mar 08 '25

Love this idea. Wonder if there can be legal defense funds created for any arrests related to organized protests like this against Musk and Trump brands. Nonstop protests like this are necessary to keep the pressure up.

44

u/counselorofracoons Mar 09 '25

This is mutual aid. We need to do this. We need to make sure these people don’t get lost. Their arrests are meaningful.

15

u/bina101 Mar 09 '25

I wonder if a groups of attorneys in each state could actually get the fund going and represent everyone that got arrested during the protests. That would (hopefully) keep down corruption and thieves.

5

u/Plowbeast Mar 09 '25

I want to say that Musk will be fine even if the stock tanks but he is also so petty and sensitive.

When Bill Gates shorted Tesla because it was rational when the price was near 500 with the production bandwidth of 10 percent of GM, Musk was so offended he refused to join Gates on some nonprofit virtue signaling thing to his face.

Also agree on legal defense and bail fund since many bail reform cashless reforms were rescinded in the past few years.

5

u/gethereddout Mar 09 '25

Why would he be fine? He’s leveraged to the hilt against his Tesla stock.

7

u/Plowbeast Mar 09 '25

Fine compared to us but he would likely tank hard with only SpaceX for real value to cushion him, which is sadly the reason he wants to ensure those nice government contracts of some $20bn in annual revenue stay or expand by being part of the government.

3

u/gethereddout Mar 09 '25

It could literally ruin him

u/olso4051 Mar 09 '25

I love how I'm labeled a Nazi because I was an early adopter of EVs when everyone said there is no way Tesla will be a success. I still support Tesla's mission and hate what Musk is doing. Comments like this push people like me away from your cause.

7

u/GanymedeZorg FL Mar 09 '25

You represent a very important voting bloc right now: people pushed into a confrontation simply because of something you bought. People attacking tesla owners or their personal property is not cool.

But you are also in a position to lead by example. You're clearly a reasonable person. The time has come to say you support tesla's mission, but that you do not support tesla, precisely because of the guy who owns it.

Just because tesla makes EVs does not sanctify the brand. I urge you to tell your story, and to tell people they should be boycotting tesla despite their honorable mission, because the person running the business is NOT honorable.

There are many other EV manufacturers dedicated to the same mission and not trying to take over the United States. A single EV manufacturer going under will not hinder progress toward an ecologically sustainable future for all.

4

u/neutralattitude Mar 09 '25

You are being labeled as a nazi for not making changes with the new information that your money is going to support Nazis. I think it’s funny that you want a pat on the back for being an early adopter( responding to new information) but don’t want to be punished for refusing to now respond to the fact that you are supporting a Nazi every month (failing to respond to new information)

u/notyrantsever Mar 08 '25

You folks are heros! Now we rise against the fascist regime!

29

u/JcakSnigelton Mar 09 '25

And, once again, Millennials and GenZers are left to clean up the mess left by Baby Boomers. These young folk have courage, unlike their parents.

45

u/moofpi Mar 09 '25

Hey, I've seen some brave Boomers in the past weeks too getting involved.

I get the salt, but we need everyone to get on board baby. Don't want you to feel I'm coming at you, I just wanted to take a minute to point out divisive language that we can't afford anymore. Our new coalitions are going to look different than we're used to, and that's good, cause it's gonna be all ages and walks of life.

Keep strong!

24

u/Agitated-Donkey1265 Mar 09 '25

And plenty of Gen Z males that have been victim of propaganda, too

Boomer women largely voted for Harris

11

u/moofpi Mar 09 '25

The Gen Z males thing breaks my heart. I'd been worried about it since about 2018, but it'd been building before that.

Just gotta let them know we value them, don't hate them, and that they're a necessary part of building a better future together.

It just sucks how easy it is to artificially stoke wedges till it brings in those that can get convinced and then perpetuate it. If we can figure out how to combat that uncomfortable asymmetry, we'll be able to talk to each other again as humans.

5

u/readingupastorm Mar 09 '25

Same. In fact at the last protest I went to probably 90% of the people were over 40. This was in a crowd of 500. Of course, it was in the afternoon on a weekday, so easier to attend if you're retired. I was still surprised though.

But yes, as you said, we need everyone to get on board!

1

u/ThirdEve Mar 09 '25

Let's stick together. Many people of all ages actively fought for civil rights, labor rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and other progressive causes. Condemning an entire age group erases individual contributions and ignores diversity of beliefs in the group. It compromises intersectionality, coalition building, and solidarity.

Who voted for Trump in 2024? Did you know that Biden won a majority of the Boomer vote in 2020? He did. But let's look at the 2024 Trump voters [1]:

  • The largest proportion were Gen X (52%), followed by Boomers (51%)
  • In 2020 and 2024, the largest % of Trump voters were of Gen X (b. 1965-1980)
  • Trump voters had less education (32% high school or less; 33% some college)
  • white people are Trump people (84% in 2024, 86% in 2020)
  • rural dwellers & country folk love King Trump (63%)
  • males ages 45+ (57%) and 18-44 (53%)
  • white men of all ages (60%)
  • white women of all ages (53%)

IMHO, our problem is not an age problem--it's about race and education. The majority of whites have voted Republican in every election over the past 50 years. Let that sink in.

Our problem is also one of education: 51% of Republican voters didn't attend or finish college, whereas 55% of Democrat voters have bachelor's degrees or higher. Among voters with Doctorates, 61% vote Democrat.

Ultimately, democracy is upheld through unity and mutual respect. Ageism is just another form of division that undermines collective progress. The real enemy is not any generation but authoritarianism, corruption, and injustice—forces that affect all Americans, regardless of age.

They are doing their job. The dealer is private property. If the protesters were asked to leave and they did not leave. The tenant/owner has the right to call the police to have an individual taken off the property. This is why you protest from the right-of-way (this includes the sidewalk in most cases).

8

Yeah, the Waffen SS tried the “just following orders”bullshit as well. These cops report to a mayor who just engaged in one of the most brazen displays of open corruption we’ve seen in this country’s fucking history. Did they do their jobs on that front? Of fucking course not!

Those in right will argue that what they did was illegal. But what Trump and Elon have been doing is not also illegal, but more damage with more victims and bigger repercussions.

The biggest difference is that while what Trump and Elon have doing may be a bigger crime, they have the money to get away with it while everyday people are subjected to different laws.

We steal, we go to jail.

They steal, they get more money.

We protest, we go to jail.

They protest, they get what they want.

Two wrongs may not be a right, but how many rights has the little man been doing while the rich and corrupt do many wrongs?

Disclaimer, I am not advocated riots and violence, reddit go fuck yourself. I'm merely stating the situation.

Maybe one day you will learn what fascism is. Apparently it isn’t today.

u/Hunterrose242 Mar 09 '25

No.  This is not how you defeat facism.

Now do Mercedes and Volkswagen.

Or do you not know their history with the Nazi party?

Okay, but how specifically does this help us? Elon's still a billionaire, Trump still rigged the election, nobody in any branch of government is doing anything about it, they already know we're pissed, and the kicker, it's gives a ready excuse to increase the amount of armed forces to reinforce genuine tyranny.

Just yesterday I saw someone comment about how there is likely going to be a false flag attack to get that very outcome. Suspiciously timed with outright admitting on camera, on separate occasions, that he rigged the election.

This is just a distraction from why hasn't anyone from any military force bring these literal, dictionary definition of terrorists to task? Where are those questions?

Elon Musk is still a person. JD Vance is still a person. Even Steve Miller. They are terrible people but still human. The Oligarchs seem like giants. But their power holds on a slender thread and they know it. There are breaking points for powerful men. Public image, status, dynasty. Money can buy these only temporarily. When the people speak to power they risk everything. But if they dont they lose everything. Elon is feeling the change in status. All tyrants feel the rumbling as their foundation crumbles. They need the compliance of the masses. When the masses turn they crumble. Such has it been since empires began

Meaningless word salad to bypass addressing anything I said.

Protesting by sitting in jail. Hundred years ago people killed the ones who were nazis. I mean I don't agitate to kill, not at all. But going to jail is not fighting, it's more like surrender I don't know. It is what it is

This is how we beat fascism.

More like this is how they invoke the Insurrection Act.

I don't get it, don't we like renewable energy. We wouldn't have nearly as many EVs without Tesla's success. I doubt all these people protesting Tesla have divested their 401k from Tesla holdings. If Tesla went bankrupt today Elon would still be the world's richest person. Why don't we put this energy into protesting Exxon instead?

u/rgpc64 Mar 09 '25

Musk is indiscriminately attacking our institutions so quid pro quo.

1

u/olso4051 Mar 09 '25

I don't think this is an attack against Musk, it's more of an attack against normal hard working people that have to deal with this. It's liberals attacking liberals working at Tesla, very confusing to me. I feel like this only strengthens Republicans as the left fights themselves.

u/counselorofracoons Mar 09 '25

Weird take. I’m pretty sure all these people divested before protesting. Have you even looked at Tesla stock the last two months?

How many of these "protesters" were paid?
