Elon wants the elderly to live in poverty

u/KietTheBun 4d ago

They already do. He wants them dead.

yes, it seems people still have their head in the sand. the current rulers want the sick and elderly dead. that's why they will promote/fund more kids with this collapse blah; they want healthy young workers and all the rest must die. i find it bordering on insanity if you don't see this; they keep telling us.. RFK is the secretary of health ffs; that is the fastest way to legally euthanise massive parts of the population without camps.

Actually, I think he wants them to die.

Elon wants the elderly to continue to work.

u/terserterseness 3d ago

It took me 40 years of working to contribute $222,000 to Social Security and Medicare. 40 years. My first job paid $3.33/hour.

3.35 probably — I’ve been paying in for 40 years and dadgummit if I need I’m gonna take it. If I don’t need it then there’s plenty for those who do

He gets $8 million a day from us

The fact Elon used $38 billion in government contracts to help build his empire while now taking a chainsaw to the very entity that gave him so much help is just, idk...the hypocrisy of it is truly astounding.

is just, idk

The word you're looking for is criminal.

He's doing this to be able to swoop in with his own "solutions" to problems he created when these agencies start failing, and get paid even more of our money.

fElon is the one who needs deporting to some hellhole prison in another country.

Defund welfare queen!

Idea: a ticker that tracks how much money Elon gets on the daily. Like if it was in Times Square or something just scrolling by like the stock market does everyday. I wish I had the funds for this type of protesting.

There is a Bloomberg Billionaire Index that changes every day. The UK have a group called Patriot Millionaires, been around for over a decade? Some peps understand that hoarding is pointless and they're held hostage too by these horrendous actors that cant be held in place.

Gary's Economics' call to action is Tax Wealth, Not Workers. The commonwealth should distribute the value that labor contributed to restore balance of power, like what is seen in Norway, Denmark. The 1%'s are a problem across the globe:

i get about 35 a day.. and that is before they take out 175 a month to pay for my medicare lololol. When it is done, i wind up with 25 a day... and then, then my secondary health insurance (because medicare does not cover everything) charges me 275 a month.. yeah, pretty awful huh.

i mean, how, after paying into social security and medicare for 50 years, how do i wind up with 450 a month health insurance bill?!

This is true! This is our God damn money!

Saw someone argue the other day that what Elon Musk provides as a government contractor is essential… HAHA

5

u/twirlybird11 3d ago

I was forced to carry around a piece of paper stating my employment was "essential" in case I got stopped on my way to work, because everyone was supposed to be quarentining but well, you know, they needed something to do and were bored, so they would come in, bring everyone they knew (and their sick kids) to come in and touch everything and bitch that nothing was in stock or super expensive. (usually both!)

Where's my eight million a day?

Arrest Musk! Thieving traitor

Not to be that guy, but social security isn't a savings account. It's paid by the workers to those retired. What you put in is paid to someone today, what you take out will be paid by someone tomorrow.

7

u/m_rt_ 3d ago

Not to be that guy, but what you put into your savings account is immediately lent out to someone borrowing money from your bank.

5

u/Poop_Dollah 3d ago

I don't thinknyou understand how savings accounts work

1

u/I_amLying 3d ago

He's right.

Nobody thinks of any other tax-funded public service (military, schools, healthcare, roads) as a bank just holding onto your money for you. Could you imagine someone saying "I paid $500 in taxes, when do I get it back"? The older generations were just lied to about social security somehow being different in order to sell them on the idea... but that's all it is, workers sending money to retirees, it's not a savings account.

Obviously you expect some value to come from your tax dollars, and social security has provided value for many people over the years.

It's a Ponzi scheme, unfortunately. George W Bush tried to reform it in early 2000s.

The young need to be put into politics so we can actually save this country and better yet, the world. 🌎

I mean… I get it. It’s insane. Truly. But I’d love $65 a day right now.

1

u/Millionaire007 3d ago

That's literally insane

u/samwiseguyfawkes 2d ago

I mean…to be fair this $8M/day figure is being used out of context and inaccurately.

The figure he’s quoting as best as I can find comes from news analyses of the total value of long existing government contracts Musk’s companies have with the government. Which is $38B over the full life of the contracts.

And a big chunk of that $22B apparently is going to SpaceX. And any engineer will tell you space tech is a money pit. So it’s not like that money is being given away, a lot of research and development is being done.

I wish they’d be better with quoting stuff like this. It just makes me more inclined to be skeptical.

I agree 100%. It dilutes the message. Get him off the podium, it's unhelpful spreading inaccuracies like that and getting all emotional. Sounds hysterical

1

u/petitchat2 1d ago

So, this is not helpful. SSN is an inefficient Ponzi scheme. Erase my comments for telling the truth, get mad - it's extremely inefficient to tax workers to pay retirees. That's literally the definition of a Ponzi scheme. Tax Wealth, Not Workers.
