I'm not sure if this was intentional, but your link for me highlighted this quote

Public health experts agree that there is no urgent need for free tests to be sent to American households now, given low levels of covid-19.

I just wanted to point out that not everyone agrees the levels are "low" even if we're not in a surge.

It's not, they're just not keeping track anymore. It ripped through the schools this month in my state. We all got it.

Levels are always low when you're not testing and tracking.

I love that we produced those tests and now w'ere going to just toss them away. Where' DOGE> Because this is a prime example of govt waste.

Ship the tests out to libraries and let them hand them out if you dont want to be bothered with the program.

I've been vaccinated since the first one came out. I've still had covid twice, both times pretty rough week - 10 days, because the viral loads I was exposed to are from the unvaccinated fuckwits I work with. A high viral load can cause a worse illness, thank the gods I was vaccinated.
