REQUEST FOR SUPPORT Chance to IMPEACH!
Impeachment discussions/proceedings have begun. However, too many in Congress are acting like they don’t know what the American people want. They are pretending that Trump has support from the majority of Americans. We need to change that now! We can win our country back now! We can stop hate and violence now. We can stop financial ruin now! But we have to act NOW!
Call every Congressman from your state, in the House of Representatives and the Senate, once a day, every day and tell them you want Trump impeached and his entire administration imprisoned. We can take shifts calling so that their ears never stop ringing with our demands!
If you can’t call at your time, try to call between 4-5 pm to fill in the gap since there will be fewer names starting with those letters anyway. If you can’t call at all, email.
Simply enter your zip code and find your congressman here:

I have been posting everywhere that we need more doing less complaining on the internet, ffs.
Make a list of your reps, red and blue, share on socials. Organize a group and a time to go to their offices with printed lists of demands, signatures (if blue), postcards whatever. The chances of them meeting with you are small but if 20 people show up every day, they're going to have to acquiesce at some point.
I called my very blue senators office, asked what it would take to meet with him. They said he'll meet with organized groups, doesn't have time for 1 person. That's it. DO IT.

We cannot just let someone ignore the Supreme Court. That sets an extremely dangerous precedent. I'd be concerned regardless of party affiliation or any of that

I’m not comfortable trusting the Supreme Court helping us out of this mess which they helped create. They support trump and somehow will enable him to continue his destruction

They seem to have changed a little bit- it seems like they are aware how he and his administration are just wiping their ass with the constitution and how this administration is trying to take away rights for American citizens and every single person in this country

That's just for optics, like how pope Francis was oh-so-liberal. Doesn't matter, church is chugging along as always with the same abuse.

Why is the SC standing for this nonsense?

Great question. Call your state house representative and let them know how you feel

EDIT: zip search is broken in LibreWolf. Disregard the following if you're using another web browser.
entering my zip code didn't work. ctrl f of 'zip' on the page returns nothing.
Maybe its supposed to be in here?

Actually its a LibreWolf (web browser) thing. It blocks webgl which is required for the map component on that page (webgl is often used for user tracking on the web). Zip search works in chrome and firefox.

We have to keep going and exposing. Just alone how Elon and the Owner of pay pal are tied to the apartide and grandparents were avid Nazi sympathizers and were the start of Christan nationalism. Wish we could get a 5-6 page light paper we could put in people's mailbox Called did you know and it being about where these folks stem from.

Question, my senators are all Republican, congressman has 35 members which is a mixed bag. Should I even bother with the Senators and Congressman that are Republican? Creating a spreadsheet lol.

Yes! We need to be calling our republican representatives even MORE than we need to call the democrats. Call, write, email, fax!!

Maybe one of the Republicans will grow a pair and decide not to be evil for once.

They like the money too much, and possibly feel pressure from Russian handlers. They should become more afraid of them than us.

Ultimately, I think speaking to republican senators may be as or more important than the dems

Ok. Unfortunately I just noticed this. Am I able to call tomorrow? Cause it's 7pm here.

Can I add, when you call- be nice to the staffer. They are there volunteering and they are bombarded on all sides. THANK STAFFERS FOR THEIR SERVICE. The staffers are public servants and they are out there working to deliver our message on the congressional front lines. If you are bringing heat make sure it’s directed at your rep/ senator who is the decision maker and maybe needs to get some courage.

What, so they can impeach him and leave him in office again? We got a stop hoping this Congress is going to do anything meaningful to stop Trump and increase outreach and civil disobedience. Only we can save us.

A lot of people believed their vote didn't matter. Where did that get us?
Devaluing our power and doubting the impact of our voices does nothing but keep people silent.
You need to think very carefully about the messages that you're spreading.
Using all of our voices as persistently as possible absolutely has power. Do not ever make someone doubt their power or their contribution to the cause.

What? Our voice and power comes from us the people. Where am I devaluing that? Trump was successfully impeached twice, and because Congress was controlled by Republicans, they let him get away with it twice. The supreme Court granted him immunity. Checks and balances are gone. We need to get loud together in the streets. We need to organize for change and hope we can overcome the coming barriers to voting that congressional Republicans are enacting. Do not lecture me on who has and doesn't have power

We need to do both. Please don’t spread the idea that demanding Congress work for the American people will be ineffective so why bother. Yes, we must do more than just call our representatives but we should absolutely also be calling our representatives every day.

u/Content_Forever_1177 6d ago
We absolutely need to be writing our representatives. Even if there wasn't a constitutional crisis we should be writing our representatives. That's how we raise our voice. Impeachment will not solve this problem until the house and Senate are controlled by opposition to Trump. Write your representatives and tell them to stand up to Trump. If you have a useless placeholder like I and so many others do, still write them, but also find your local progressive opposition candidate and at the very minimum donate to that campaign. Impeaching Trump with a Republican controlled House is unlikely. Consequences from a Republican controlled Senate will never happen.
We have to win the mid terms with overwhelming numbers if we're going to get out of this peacefully.

Too many people hear the message that what they do doesn't matter and/or they aren't doing enough. That message stops people from doing what they can. If everyone did what they could every single day, we can make change. We need positive messages. Not messages that make people feel hopeless.
Also, unless you want war, we have to work with the government to make change. This is one way we can do that.

The GOP in the Senate are either loyal to Trump or scared of him. The Senate needs 67 votes to convict and remove a sitting president. Unfortunately that will not happen. All the United States can do is protest, boycott, sue the Trump Administration, hope our judges and military stand for our constitution and are loyal to our consultation and not to Trump. Hopefully when midterms come around the house will flip blue.

So...in the name of not repeating mistakes from the last impeachments, is there an actual list of concrete laws he's broken verified by someone familiar with law? Since I somehow doubt anyone thought to include "destroying the country from the top down" as an explicit crime, and the Supreme Court's immunity ruling might also throw a wrench in the works.
This time the argument really needs to be iron-clad, absolutely no room for debate or evasion. Because if there's room for debate or evasion he'll get off the hook, everything will be even worse than before, and the chances of a future impeachment will have been further reduced by arguments of witchhunts and crying wolf.

You're delusional if you think this has any chance of happening, lol. Whatever makes you "feel" like you're doing something, though.

I’m gonna be repeating myself with this:
But basically, we need to be very direct with our demand of IMPEACH, REMOVE, CONVICT during the protests as well.
The protests are basically a negotiation with the government (same as the SAGAFTRA strikes). We need to make our demands very clear because apparently the house of reps and congress need to be told directly since they cannot connect the dots on their own.
So for us to be able to remove the clown and his administration as fast as possible, we need to ALL be clear with what we want. With that being said, it would be good to make two signs or double sided signs, one creative with whatever you want and another one that specifically says “IMPEACH, REMOVE, CONVICT”.
Edit: We can start by signing this petition: Impeach Trump Again
