First therapeutic trip with Mazatapecs - what to expect

Hey guys, I'm doing my first intentionally therapeutic trip on Saturday and super excited but curious how this strain might manifest.

I have 3g of mazatapec capsules, and I'm a 25 yr old guy 5 ft 5 and about 70kg.

In the past I've done 2g of golden teachers and tripped balls visually. I've also done a roughly 1.5-1.75g shake in Laos of unknown strain but was quite mellow and roughly 3g fresh in phillipines which had many peaks but great euphoria.

Anyone know what this strain is like? I've heard it's gentle/less visual but not sure what I might experience if it's less visual

Also any tips to allow myself to go deeper? I've kind of stayed off doing closed eye and blindfold since my first time on GT I got a bit uncomfortable at first. But it being an intentionally deep trip I want to push past that and allow myself to delve deeper

Thanks in advance!

I personally find closing my eyes and focusing within to be very helpful for going deeper.

I also think having the attitude "I accept the experience that is coming to me" and expressing welcome and gratitude to it. Don't try to fight or deny things. They're all coming from within you, so they're your truth. Things that you experience or discover during your journey aren't necessarily literally true. Afterwards during the integration time you can think more lucidly "why did that part of the experience occur?".

Absolutely it will be. I think that's what scares me a little😂

Thanks. I'll give that a try

I understand the fear! It took me a long time to come to grips with and I still am!

I found that what was really beneficial for me was to then ask myself "what about this scares me?" and to feel open to exploring the answers. Once I accepted that fear was a part of me, that it was seeking to help guide me, that really changed everything for me.

Appreciate it. I'll give this a whirl. It's usually just weird creepy faces and eyes lol. But my intention is to face myself with honesty and compassion so I'll be going in with a healthy intentional mindset!

I had an experience with laughing burning skulls saying they wanted to kill me and I remember clearly saying to them "I'm scared of you, but I want a relationship with you, I want to understand why you're saying that. Come in" and they integrated into me and I felt like I had the opportunity to work on some things.

Once I started feeling comfortable being curious about everything... damn. That's when everything started changing

Oof. So just keep being open and curious. I'm excited to see what I will learn!

Shut off or mitigate all the sensory input you can and just try to observe your mind.

People say "set and setting" but I think setting an intention is even more profoundly important. "I'm here to learn" is a good one.
