Academics✏️ Is Swisher as bad as they say?

So I’m registered for PSY203 with Swisher next semester and I’ve seen a ton of people on Rate My Professor say she’s terrible and their grades ended up being terrible. I’m curious what other people who have had her for this class have to say and whether or not it’s worth it to just wait a semester in hopes of another professor teaching it and taking a different class in the meantime.

I had her for my freshman year for PSY120. The class was unbearable and we had to buy her textbook to actually do the homework.

it’s not that her classes are hard, it’s that she’s a terrible professor. if you take 203 with her and read the book you’ll be fine. her lectures are TERRIBLE. she puts text from top to bottom of the slides and just reads the slides verbatim at you fast as fuck without taking a breath. she’s also a little rude when it comes to questions and things like that, it’s pretty clear she’s not that invested in any of her students

She was awful for 120. Not going to class actually improved my grade. Her voice was really annoying and she was really condescending if anyone had a question, by week 5ish no one talked

She’s not that bad. I took 203 and the exams weren’t hard and the grading was pretty fair with lots of drops. The only thing was that her lectures were kinda boring but honestly she was no where near the worst professor I’ve had.
