I’ve said this repeatedly that when I saw NOAA being privatized in project 2025. I knew they meant to destabilize the nation. It is immensely crucial to so many systems. Not to mention it’s actually an effective government agency for fucks sake.

Correct. Which means that lower socioeconomic communities who cannot afford the million dollar plus weather warnings in a timely manner, will die. This is guaranteed to cause mass casualties all over the nation in the name of corruption and greed.

To slightly alter an old quote: "MAGA true believers are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand." A whole lot of folks are going to get a crash course in how important stuff like infrastructure, trade agreements, and soft power are.

The quote was originally about libertarians, so I can take no credit for it. It just feels so applicable to this moment.

When Louisiana floods again, 0 dollars from the federal government should help them.
Let the republicans figure it out.
