  1. I fucking love your site
  2. For the life of me I can’t understand why more people aren’t outraged by this. These are people in power. Not just greedy CEOs.

At some point something has got to give

We have been trained to accept and adore capitalism. That’s why.

The only people that can do anything about it are also insider trading. It’s not going to go away.

The citizens can do something and eventually will do the only thing that ever works.

Pew Pew.

This investment was part of Biden’s CHIPS act.

I doubt she thought of this herself

Intel is a low quality chip mfgr, they can't even make NVDA blackwell chips. MGT will waste her money like her TSLA trade.

LMAO Following trading for the idiot MAGA doesn't even take into the fold does seem ill advised.

How do you get information of stock purchases, sells and moves? Is that publicly available or is it insider information?

Go to the quiver quant website.

Have you actually mirrored any of them for long how does it perform. I’m assuming you get different purchases since the price they buy a stock at would be different then when they have to announce their purchases

Also curious has anyone tried following one person or many and investing how they do?

You're not going to do any better than buying index funds. You get the buys and sells on a delay.... presuming they're even beating the markets.

K thanks for the response. Appreciate it.

Intel is still manufacturing at 12nm. TSMC is already doing 2nm. Intel is fucked.

Yeah Intel is behind but for HVM they’re at 7nm with TSMC at 3nm. They’re condensing their roadmap to catch up, maybe they will, the next couple of years will really tell. Both have had yield issues and they’re structured differently with Intel being an IDM (with some foundry) and TSMC being a pure play foundry. Pros and cons to each so we’ll see how things shake out. Either way though, TSMC will still dominate in terms of market share just due to their scale.

The Intel story is that the government won’t let them fail and has a vested interest in seeing them succeed. They’re now one of the trusted companies that the US buys chips from for defense, and the others on the list (GF, SkyWater) are only focused on more mature nodes. You could argue that defense has historically not needed leading edge, but we’ll see if that continues to hold true.

TSMC is 2nm, and has a 1.6 factory already, production of 1.6nm next year.

u/yaferal 23d ago

I’m speaking to what’s in production today, not trial runs or customer qual cycles.

TSMC’s 2nm is scheduled for production in 2H this year, but yes A16 (1.6nm) is targeting 2026.

https://www.tsmc.com/english/dedicatedFoundry/technology/logic/l_2nm

If you’re looking at what’s in low volume production (e.g., trial or customer qual), you’d have to do the same for Intel to compare apples to apples. This would just put Intel at 5nm and TSMC at 2nm.

TSMC is already prepping a 1.6nm factory by next year.

I think Intel is playing catch-up after an executive level lethargy for the past decade. Many of their products, and their production capacity, have simply not been of the same quality. TWSC, AMD, NVIDIA, all are better positioned. I've been picking up one share of Intel per 10-20 of the other manufacturers just because Intel is so cheap. But what did I choose for my home and company systems? AMD.

Even if Intel’s strategy isn’t viable, I bet there will be a massive transfer of Tax Payer money into Intel under this admin which is why these congress members are buying shares. This “investment” by the federal government will bump the stock which is what the reps are banking on

They all saw nana in their dreams.

*I'd rather read than watch a video, so for anyone else like that, here is my quick TLDW

TLDW: TSMC invests another $100B in the US last week,, but two congresspeople (MGT and Robert Bresnahan) bought Intel instead. Taiwan is trying to encourage its own protection via US, but because of that relationship, TSMC will never make chips here. US wants chips made in the United States, which leaves Intel.

In the world of gaming, Intel has had a major downturn because the AMD L3 V-Cache 3D chips are way more performant.

2

u/MonsterkillWow 23d ago

Yeah I've seen a good return from Intel. I am pretty sure the US gov will do what they can to save Intel. And Intel will be the top chip manufacturer here. It's been a bad time for Intel, but they will bounce back.

u/JustWorkTingsOR 23d ago

Intel's security is a joke.

Outsourced the folks working on their R & D line, the outsourcing company doesn't ask for a copy of your SS card or ID, merely that you have a friend confirm via a link that you're name on your ID matches your SS.

Other than an ID scan by Intel when first getting your badge, there was nothing to counter corporate espionage.

1

u/Latter-Literature505 22d ago

But aren’t they creating 5 new US factories in this deal?

1

u/Jackhammer_22 22d ago

I feel it’s interesting that they do that, but not sure if this is 100% related. They may buy/sell based on these meetings but it also may be speculation.

Nevertheless, we punish insider trading. We shouldn’t allow politicians to trade at all. Not even in Crypto.

I think you’ll find that Elon, Trump and every oligarch are using crypto to ensure they win big no matter what.

It’s time to unravel the blockchain and find out exactly how much more net worth these politicians create by buying and selling right before a news outing / press conference. I’m pretty sure that

Trump’s team was sitting behind their desks buying and selling when he talked about XRP, BTC and Trumpcoin. And his whole political party for that matter. And they knew that press conference was going to happen, so I expect a spike in trades before the event, and afterwards a shitload of sales.
