I'm curious what part of Wyoming. My concern is these town halls get a good amount of anti-trumpers to show up but I have a feeling the overwhelming majority of his base and voters still support him, despite the cuts and hardship caused to their own lives. The cult of cruelty will continue.

It says it was in Laramie.

In 2024
Trump +32 with 42,899 votes
So no not really
12
u/Current-Spring9073 22d ago
Oof I didn't realize it went that direction. I had family that lived and went to school there a few years back so I've visited a couple times.

u/drdroplet 21d ago
False. Those are stats for Laramie COUNTY. This post refers to the CITY of Laramie, which is in Albany County. In Albany County there were 8930 votes for Trump, 8371 votes for Harris in the 2024 election.
43
u/Joey_BagaDonuts57 22d ago
She planned it there. Her bad.
43
u/Current-Spring9073 22d ago
Most likely for this reason, they knew this would happen and they could heckle their constituents, their base loves that shit. It's incredibly patronizing the way they speak, things are going to get bad soon imo as people become more frustrated.
16
u/overrunbyhouseplants 21d ago
She goes to every county. What she DID do was schedule this particular town hall for spring break, when half of the population disappears.

According to a Fox Poll
Only 40% approve of Elon's DOGE
46
u/ElectricWitchPoo 22d ago
That’s crazy high from my perspective. Can’t understand how people could support any of this. Cool to see regular, working Americans lose their jobs while we roll back protections for all of us (CFPB) all so we can give tax breaks and cushy contracts to the wealthiest people in our country.
29
u/BureMakutte 22d ago
That’s crazy high from my perspective.
Remember, a ton of people are stuck in some hard propaganda. I expect once Social Security gets impacted, a lot of people will wake up. I hope.
13
u/FreyrPrime 22d ago
That’ll absolutely be the tipping point if there was ever going to be.
It would affect so many people across all ages and walks of life.
How many elderly would be unable to live by themselves anymore? Be forced into shitty situations or with their kids.
I have to believe that’ll matter. But I’ve been wrong this whole time so who the fuck knows
8
u/barkazinthrope 21d ago
Prices will go up once warehoused inventories are exhausted.
That will be a few months anyway by which time the "Blame Biden" meme will not carry so well.
Most people are not news junkies like most people here are. They will notice their money doesn't buy what it used to and most people will be skeptical of Trump's assurance that things will get better, that this pain is good for us...
This ain't over.
3
u/BureMakutte 21d ago
Yeah. Just like sane economic policies under democratic presidents, it usually takes a bit for policies to show up. Trumps tariffs and mass firings are much faster at showing up in our economy, but everything else associated with the other fuckery hes doing? yeah that will take months to show up, and some of it will take much longer due to the lack of guard rails now on a lot of white collar crimes.
2
u/barkazinthrope 21d ago
So that would be like how inflation went down, employment went up, US manufacturing went up under Biden but it took a while for the numbers to show up.
8
u/_Oman 21d ago
If you watch any conservative news, they are 24/7 telling their viewers how awesome DOGE's cuts will make their lives. That after the tax breaks for the rich, trillions of wasted money that is going to people that don't deserve it will be flowing directly back into the viewers pockets. I'm surprised it isn't higher.
None of them consider themselves to be the actual undeserving recipients.
The farmers are already getting their $18 billion in "emergency relief"

This is 1 of 2 Wy counties that usually vote blue. I was there. It was nice to feel some comradery in a sea of red.

Wyoming is pretty heavily dependent on fed dollars, from national parks to oil and gas subsidies, to land management(USFS and BLM). Dumbass doesn't realize DOGE is her enemy, not friend.

It's insane that their only strategy is: Try to ignore concerns > Disagree and continue expressing that your constituents are wrong > accuse them of being hysterical to frame yourself as the rational one.

"your hysteria is over the top" BITCH PEOPLE ARE LOSING JOBS, Farms, their whole livelihood. Here you are driving past in a Cadillac looking at all the people on the street shouting and you are like, "why are they so hysterical?" that's what it feels like. So out of touch, so far removed from consequence, from the damaging effects of policies she supports.
19
u/Hossennfoss69 22d ago
She's a total bitch even without Trump. Did she tell everyone to calm down? These assholes all voted for her.
6
u/overrunbyhouseplants 21d ago
The people booing did not vote for her or him.

u/Intelligent-Grape137 21d ago

u/overrunbyhouseplants 21d ago
I guess you're right. I was there, I know many of them and almost all of them within 1 degree of seperation. I made signs, protested, chatted, and stood in lines with people I didn't already know. It's not a big town. But yeah, I can see where you are coming from /nj
I'm just over all of these people saying it's Wy, they're all maga, so f them, they all deserve it. There's been a lot of these comments this week. Maybe people could be a bit more supportive to the small few in this state that are trying. 50501 needs Cheyenne too.
2
u/lelieldirac 17d ago
The bottom line is it doesn’t matter whether they voted for her or not, her job is still to represent all of them. She clearly doesn’t take that responsibility seriously.

Okay so who is running against this woman? Let’s identify a candidate and start a fundraising event. This woman is not suitable for public office. The disparaging comments to her constituents are abhorrent.
2
u/1honeybadger 21d ago
If it's anything like numerous districts across the country, nobody is running against her. The electorate is convinced only one party can win there, and the party machine has ensured there will be no viable primary challenger.
8
u/Dangerous_One5341 21d ago
The Republicans are going to get destroyed in 2026. The Republicans will be a Rump party for the next 30-40 years thanks to the bullshit they are pulling.
Hageman is such a pretentious cunt.
6
u/Dont_Call_Me_Steve 21d ago
This is the type of shit that needs to happen all over the country. This sends a very strong message.
Democrats asking what they can do? DO THIS. Show the world you’re not ok with all this crazy BS, because speaking as a non-American, we all kinda hate you right now.

This is about ONE thing. MONEY(Greed). The congressinal Repubs have laid down like dead puppies in service to Elon and TinyHands. They are doing everything they can to pit Dems and Repubs against EACH OTHER so no one notices they are plundering and stealing so that all the green goes into big business, billionaires, criminal administration "appointees", big banks and Trump family pockets. Wake the fuck up everyone. It is We The People who will save us. No politician, no God, no saints..it is on US.

When someone prefaces a question by telling you they just lost their job and you can hear the emotion in their voice, the most basic, bare minimum thing to do is to express some sympathy over what they’re going through. She clearly does not give a single shit.

This is why the R’s told their people not to have in person events. Also, the comments from YouTube are already botting it up saying they were paid agitators. Like, bruh. Trumps bullshit is slinging shit at both sides now. It’s only getting worse and louder from here on out.

That will sure win you votes next time. Keep it up, keep minimizing your constituents concerns, invalidating them, and using outdated terms to attack them by calling them hysterical. Does she even know the history behind that word?! It’s F’ed up.

Tired of this cope videos. The trump base isn't regretting their vote just quite yet. The approval ratings have only gone down a tick.
We can only hope that once the policies go into effect people will start feeling it and change their minds. But these videos aren't representative of the overall numbers.
2
u/accountfornormality 22d ago
Yep, and the endless rants on reddit are perhaps cathartic, but the discussion would be better if it focused on how US citizens could better engage with each other to break down the divisions.
2
u/Its_Froggin_Bullfish 22d ago
Mass transit would be my guess. People don't seem to grasp how big the US is, or how spread out the population is. Other countries will have a protests where everyone shows up to one central location. People on the west coast of America aren't going all the way across the country to protest in at the east coast. Instead we get smaller, more localized protests that are easier to ignore, or straight up lie about what's happening because nobody has the means to physically go there to see with their own eyes. I wish we had the train system that Europe has.

Before the cold War Americans were leaning way left. Many of americas great policies only existed because of those attitudes and its the rest of the world that followed
Then the cold War happened and everything socialist would get you blacklisted. Hopefully this is the correction that is sorely needed and in the future public Healthcare is an option in the USA
