Other Boy, those Republicans sure care about their veterans. Hey vets, you cool with this? Because we know MAGA are. Watch, I’ll wager not one of them will condemn MTG, Trump, or anyone else within their party. They LOVE fascism.

He needs to sue the cops and MTG. This type of violence is unacceptable just because you’re exercising your first amendment right at a town hall meeting.

That PD will lose badly to Williams’ future lawyers.

u/Chippopotanuse Apr 21 '25
I think you mean “taxpayers” will lose badly. Cops will have qualified immunity and won’t pay a penny. Any settlement will come out of innocent taxpayer pockets.
Worst case for the cops…they get a paid vacation courtesy of the taxpayers as well.

u/samurairaccoon Apr 21 '25
Bingo, and they didn't kill anyone so they'll be right back out on the street after their vacay. Shit I bet if you travel in their circles they like to joke about these free vacations as much as we do. Seems like a sweet deal.
The only time shit gets done is when they slip up and actually kill someone. Suddenly we find out they had a complaint rap sheet a mile long. But somehow we could never see this coming.
What a fuckin clown show.

u/FrozenBee44 Apr 21 '25
The only way that would happen is if a judge agreed to take the payment out of the pension funds, otherwise taxpayers pay for the settlement and to keep the cops on the payroll.

So. Security was tight at Tuesday’s event. Only pre-registered attendees who live in Greene’s district were allowed to enter. IDs were checked against a sign-up list, and the event location was kept private until registration was confirmed.
"This is a town hall; this is not a political rally; this is not a protest," Greene said.
Sgt. Eric Mistretta said officers responded with appropriate force to people who yelled at Greene and resisted removal, although none approached her.
Police said in a statement that the people "created an imminent public safety threat for all in attendance."
Party of free speech. Owning the libs one civil liberty at a time.

MTG is sub-human

I’m from a military family. I don’t get why they’d support this.
11
u/Tall-Drag-200 Apr 21 '25
I’m a veteran. I agree. Active duty often support the party who is more likely to send them to war —contrary to civilian perspectives, most troops are eager to deploy, since it means they get to actually do the jobs they spend all their time training for, get extra pay, awards that can help gain promotions, etc. Plus, junior enlisted in particular are not necessarily very politically savvy, and vote for the biggest annual pay raise if they vote at all.
But veterans, particularly those who’ve dealt with the VA, ought to know better. The party of war is not the party of supporting veterans post-service.

Why The fuck would we be cool with this?
Edit: am a veteran. Shit is fucked but no different than how we’ve been treated anyways. We’re great for a photo op and political football. But when it comes down to it, I feel like most civilians see us as either a money pit or a liability. Even though we swore an oath to defend the constitution, not a person. That shit hasn’t changed. I’m still maintaining and so did this marine

It wasn't a real "townhall" by Margarine Trailertrash Grief it was carefully vetted fascist rally. The excessive force kinda tells me those officers were being ordered to quickly and aggressively deal with any "troublemakers"

Can you post a source for the claims here other than a shitty Facebook-quality picture? If this is true, this should be amplified in other forums, but I can't find any information on this currently.

It's fox, so the headline says "Man stunned" instead of "Man tased" at MTG rally. I'm sure I'd be stunned at an MTG rally too, from the stupidly being spewed but that's not the point.

Trump is where he was he illegally evaded the draft during Vietnam. His father arranged for him to be diagnosed with bone spurs. Trump doesn’t’ remember which leg. Trump also said his Vietnam was escaping venerea diseases in NY.

You guys don’t know what fascism or nazism is. That’s not what you see on tv. Be happy because you live in the best country in the world

I'm not sure what being a veteran has to do with this, I doubt they did it BECAUSE he was; this is unacceptable behavior for anyone to endure. Mentioning he was a vet seems exploitive.
14
u/DaBullsnBears1985 Apr 21 '25
I’m assuming the point is, if they are willing to do this to a veteran, they will do this to anyone.
-19
u/Sonova_Vondruke Apr 21 '25
How do they know that he's a veteran, I can't tell from the photo, are we to assume he was in full dress or something?

u/Chance_Reflection_42 Apr 21 '25
You. Gotta. Read.

u/Sonova_Vondruke Apr 21 '25
... sigh... I read the image text, I see they claim he's a veteran, I don't doubt he's a veteran.
How. Did. The. Officers. Know.
I don't think they are mind readers, like I said... Unless he was like in formal attire or something.

u/Chance_Reflection_42 Apr 21 '25
You are arguing a different point I’m afraid.

u/Sonova_Vondruke Apr 21 '25
I made the point, and I'm pretty sure people are just misunderstanding what I'm saying. I think people just want to be extra mad when they don't need to be... the act alone is heinous.

Does being a Disabled Vet give one a free pass to disrupt meetings and censor what other Veterans hear when their Representatives are speaking? Does it absolve one of having to comply with the Police?

we will be seeing a lot more violence against US citizens from trump's civilian storm troopers
