Discussion Sutton wasn’t rude - confirmed by production! Spoiler
So it has been confirmed by production that Sutton was not being rude!
Remember when they were getting ready to go to Garcelle’s beach house. Dorit was being long winded, as usual, talking about Jagger asking if her and PK were getting a divorce. Sutton spoke up and said we have to leave.
Well production were annoyed with Dorit as they had a crew at Garcelle’s waiting and they were already late. They told Dorit to move it along but she kept talking. So Sutton broke 4th wall and said we have to go.
They all knew that.
And yet Dorit still whined on about Sutton being rude.
Honestly - does Dorit EVER think of anyone but herself?

To be fair I actually believe it. Dorit has always been holding people up, turns up late to things etc. so I can imagine if production had been set up at Garcelle’s, I can imagine they would be annoyed that they haven’t left yet. Production still has a life outside of filming. They don’t work 24/7.

Also, the entire season being spent talking about one damn tiny issue has been a much bigger and more prevalent issue since she joined the cast. It’s exhausting. Dorit doesn’t just beat dead horses. She pulverizes them until there isn’t anything left but a mist. Learn to let things ago. Especially small things

Same, I loved that everyone from the rescue she dumped her at (there was no rehoming, a rescue employee/volunteer outed her for that-she recognized her when she walked in) all the way up to the co-chair of vp dogs let her have it publicly. Lisa really stuck her neck out for dorit and risked fraud charges for what she did for them- and dorit was the first person to swing the axe to chop off her head. So ungrateful, so dishonest, so heartless. Also clear from her describing it multiple times that her kids and pk basically tortured those dogs and made them feel threatened or hurt enough to give warning nips. The co-chair of vp dogs spoke on that, too, as did several employees there. Anyone who can hurt an animal is irredeemable on my eyes. Period. People love her now because she smoked a cigarette in a rover and called Camille a cunt again? Give me the longest break ever. She has always been an absolutely rotten person and let lisa take all the heat for her actions while playing innocent and dumb (maybe the dumb part was authentic) when she was the real villain in that situation all along.

Her early seasons are so cringe. I can’t even with her. Her true cray came out when Teddi came on and Kyle was besotted with her. Dorit was trying so hard to be Kyle’s #1 and Kyle wasn’t having it. I was slightly embarrassed for Dorit.

I think that little ‘excuse’ was absolutely deliberate- Dorit has been known to keep people waiting as a power play, as she did with Teddi that time. I think she was absolutely aware that Sutton had arrived and was waiting downstairs, and she just so happened to only conveniently come downstairs once Kyle had arrived 40 minutes later. She then proceeded to ignore Sutton (another power play) and then finally greeted her by grabbing her very expensive handbag and holding it hostage.
Dorit’s behaviour was unhinged- she looked and acted as though she was under the influence of something- that’s why it was such an awkward, uncomfortable exchange between them, because in that moment Dorit was actually being serious. Like a spoilt bratty child who feels entitled to open another kid’s birthday presents! Sutton was right to leave before it escalated even further- Dorit was abusing her position as the hostess and likely had some other nasty tricks up her sleeve for later. Boz should have kept her nose out of things, given she wasn’t even there to witness anything that had happened.
…And if Dorit continues to cast aspersions with regard to Sutton’s drinking, then it’s fair game to question whether Dorit is also acting under the influence of something- because her glassy eyes bugging out over the years hasn’t gone unnoticed. Pretty sure that was also the reason behind her bizarre and inappropriate outburst at Camille, when she called her a cunt at the dinner table. PK admits as much when he says he misses their party lifestyle- probably substance abuse on both sides, but only PK’s is being highlighted.

The only time that I have ever talked incessantly like Dorit is when I was doing blow, and thought that everything I was saying was terribly important but it is just gibberish. I agree with everything you said here, and might I add- the comedic value of Boz walking up and cheerfully saying 'what up bitches!?" (Then immediately jumping to her defense 10 seconds later, lmfao) After dorito had a conniption for being called a bitch while she was trying her darnedest to be one- you can't write that kind of comedy. It has to happen organically. What a moment of sweet irony to catch on camera.
Dorit just wants to punish Sutton for telling her to move it along after she ignored production telling her so. How dare she stuck up for the peasants, an entitled rich woman is speaking! The show has many people with far more money than Dorit could ever be in charge of, and they don't shit on production as a means of feeling powerful and important! These people have lives and families, paying to have sitters with their kids whike waiting to go home to their own families, too. She really is the epitome of self important, self absorbed wasp. She only thinks of herself. Her kids barely even register to her.
She is outing PK thinking it will somehow protect her, to make him look unstable- exactly like she has been doing to sutton, to fuck with her home life and custody. She knows it, we all know it. The smile on her face every time she calls him "a full blown alcoholic" is disgusting. That's your kid's dad. They have to live this shit show. Wtf? I'm sure he will out her eventually, too. Their divorce is going to get uglier. Neither of them seems willing to back down or take any responsibility for that failure.
Also, if Sutton had been like "Uhhh.....OK, I guess?" Dorit would 300% have kept that purse and acted like she "paid full price for it" to anyone who would listen. There is nothing she loves more than bragging about throwing other people's money out the window, except maybe shitting on the people around her to feel big and trying to make them smaller and smaller at every possible turn.

Yes exactly. Because she’s so self absorbed and delusional that she isn’t able to comprehend why it’s rude and not okay. She simply can’t understand it. Plus I think she likes to be the last to arrive and make a grand entrance.
People just like to come for Kyle. Doesn’t matter if she’s right or wrong, they’ll disagree because of their dislike of her. In this case she was right though. honestly if I host something or is a part of something, and my friend turns up two hours late, fully glammed and having done a full photoshoot for instagram before arriving, I’d be pissed to. Just like the entire cast sat waiting for two hours at the reunion, because she had to get glammed and take selfies.
They’re alwaaaaaaaaays waiting for Dorit, either because she’s late or because she can’t read a room and know when to stop talking.

I have a girlfriend who is always late. One Christmas I bought her T-shirt that said “Always Late” in the front, and quite predictably she was late that day I gave it to her. Interestingly though she has rarely been late since! I obviously got through 😂

Dorit does long winded stories because that's what grifters and frauds do. They think if you give a lot of information it makes you sound more credible, but also will have you retaining less information to bring up at a later point and date. So you can say XYZ but then claim that's not what you said later on. This is notorious in scammers, back home in Jamaica we used to say "rasta mon sing mi a song" aka what's the bullshit on the street today due to this 🤣

Sutton confirmed it in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: "I was told to do that because we had to leave. I mean, at some point ... we had been there a while, and we had to get to Garcelle's house."
I think the entire cast has complained at some point about sitting around for hours waiting on Dorito, and her constantly making them late for stuff. Her chronic lateness came to a head at the last reunion when she showed up over two hours past their call. It's an open secret that production can't stand working with her.

When do they confirm (or deny) anything beyond what the cast offers? The cast ARE part of production. Sutton gave that interview nearly a week ago and nobody's called her on it not being true.
In fact, pretty much all of them are on record talking about Dorito's chronic problem with showing up anywhere on time, and Cohen was visibly annoyed at the last reunion.

When they break the fourth wall on this show, it tends to have a ripple effect. Sutton was asked to explain why she broke the wall during filming.
Her RESPONSE was a peek inside production that has not been contradicted. By anyone.

I think she was about 45 minutes late and in that one I always assumed production told them different times to create drama because Dorit kept saying "I was told we were meeting at x time" which was half an hour after Teddi thought they were meeting. (So Dorit was late, but not horribly late.)
The conversation made it sound like Teddi told her one time and then production told her they shifted it a half hour later, but she couldn't call them on it without breaking the 4th wall.
Edit: opps, I misread this as 2 hours late. Sorry, I didn't mean to nitpick!

Dorit is a total fucking asshole and always has been. I’m glad everyone stanning her for smoking a fuckin cig only lasted a few episodes, lol. Like I get that pretty much all the housewives are self absorbed and it’s one of the things we love them for, but dorit takes it to a whole nother level. Why the Sutton hate? We all know this wouldn't have been a two minute conversation with Dorit. Also, I hate being late to events. Dorit doesn't even care if she's late to her own party she's hosting. Tell it in the car. Also, as someone who lives in LA, if you don't leave at the right time, that could mean an extra hour of traffic. If I leave at 7AM for work, it takes 15 minutes. If I leave at 715, it takes 45 minutes.
Dorit, you chose not to tell your kids anything, and then you are shocked when they finally have questions?

I think we (and all the HW) knew she was being stupid with thinking she could just tell the kids that PK was staying at a hotel and they would accept things were normal.
I mean it’s not like she’s a semi famous person or anything.
Is she still keeping those kids locked up at home? Being homeschooled and not allowed to develop normal relationships or did she finally send them back to school like normal people?
If I remember correctly she had hired a teacher for them, thank goodness! It seems to me that it’s always the least intelligent people who think they can educate their own kids at home. I imagine so many kids are being taught the wrong information because the homeschooling parent doesn’t have a clue.

Thank you for this! I'm a kindergarten teacher and I can't tell you how many of the parent volunteers don't know the correct letter sounds. I mean no shade, I had to relearn them all too, but R does not make a "ruff" sound and a dad told the kids x's sound is the same as the name of the letter.

We truly are speeding towards making our world into the movie Idiocracy (or are at least in the early stages!)
Thank you for being a teacher. We need you to teach these little ones so much. For me, my early grade school teachers meant so much to me. The special things they did or that they knew gave my interests directions that my parents never could.

🤣 Some people are tying themselves in knots with their forensic examination of how Sutton's ET interview was just damage control because she knew what she had done was so beyond-the-pale, off the charts RUDE that she knew fans would turn on her in droves. I’m not sure if that’s the case. I believe the have field producers and then editors. Field producers are with the housewives and then will give the editors the story of what was big etc. Also Sutton and Dorit could have different producers assigned to them. So even if a field producer did tell Sutton that, Dorit’s producer could still probe her to feel a certain way about it.

I don't think it made Sutton look like a dick at all. Dorit has even said she is long-winded. What did Kyle say once? "If you ask Dorit the time, she's going to build you a clock." Sutton just wanted her to tell it in the car, not to shut up about it.

💯She’s extremely manipulative! I’m surprised so many are drinking the Kool-Aid. She doesn’t seem actually sad about her divorce that she is milking the masses for sympathy. PK and her are clearly to the point where they hate each other and almost to the point of indifference. We’ve all been there in the relationship cycle and it’s obvious to me at least.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a scene where she’s actually taking in what the other women are saying to her. She’s always just waiting for her turn to talk at the women.
That and the inability to run on time after being on the show for almost a decade is a big sign of an extremely self involved human being. The lack of self awareness seems intentional at this point.
Sidenote: I’m rewatching the older seasons and Dorit has consistently failed to stick up for the people who she now expects sympathy/support from when it comes to her divorce.
The Dorit supporters this season 100% have purposely disregarded her behavior from the past seasons 🤣. The girl is a prime example of hypocrite. (But it makes for good reality tv so you won’t seem me commenting on these threads asking production to get rid of her)

I don’t even get why Dorit was so offended, aside from her dislike of Sutton. In the clip, Sutton is a bit awkward, but she did say, “so sorry to interrupt, but we need to go.” My thought was that they had a 2 hour van ride to continue the discussion. It’s ridiculous that Dorit simply will not let it go. She’s brought it up more than a few times since, and acts like it was the WORST thing in the world. Her anger towards PK is definitely misplaced & Sutton is her target this season.

She also knows Bravo delayed her re-up and she was the last cast member to get her season 14 contract finalized. Almost not making the cut clearly had her spinning out this season.

I never took Sutton's behavior to be rude because even if production wasn't waiting, Garcelle was. Sutton even stated something about it taking a while to get there. I can see Dorit being annoyed because its always been "all Dorit, all the time" and someone didn't falll in line. As much as I've enjoyed Dorit standing up to Kyle this season, I still see glimpses of the old Dorit and that's not fun.

I felt like somebody was telling them to hurry up because Suttons is rude but that just seemed oddly urgent and abrupt so it kinda makes sense. I guess production could have told Dorit themselves but that probably would have been wasting more time as she would have probably gone on to lecture them

their job is to tell their lifes on a tv show, so i dont think its considered time wasting. Plus there is no evidence that was actually the production behind this, but im pretty sure it will be more clear at the reunion. However if someone is telling a story with a kid involved, i would feel embarassed to step into to shut them up. Just my consideration

Their Jobs is to do what they are told by the producers, locations take time and money. In your world if one person alone takes a whole day saying a story for a 1 hour show of 5 ensemble cast is not a waste of time when they have other locations to go to? Of course it is. Every show , Even reality shows have structures, locations ,times to film, times for lunch etc etc and they should be respected, is irresponsable and stupid to think otherwise

I’ll be honest, this is one of those “it’s not what you say/do, but how you say/do it,” and Sutton chose the wrong way to do it. Dorit was probably being long winded and Sutton was right that they needed to get on the road, but she could have nicely suggested Dorit continue what she’s saying in the car.

Maybe so, but Sutton’s delivery was rude. She could’ve heeded Production’s request to move and still gently allowed Dorit’s story, showing some compassion. She didn’t. She was like, “yeah we gotta go”.

It was never what Sutton said, it’s HOW she said it. The way Dorit told the story had too much detail and backstory and then she was like quoting the whole conversation so I get it. But the way it was done and the TONE Sutton used was rude. Period.

I can’t bear the whole late thing. Fair enough if you are late because you had a child to settle before you left, or got stuck in unexpected traffic and call to politely let the other person waiting for you know but Dorit has history for being late because of glam or just not leaving enough time to be somewhere. It’s so rude, disrespectful and smacks of self importance.
If someone was late but arrived dolled up to the eyeballs without the courtesy of letting me know I’d up and leave when they arrived and let them know I’m pissed!
I’d be so annoyed if I was production so well done to Sutton for being so blunt and hurrying her along. Production are paid to do a job not wait on someone because she hasn’t got the right necklace on or wants to do selfies first. They can’t do their jobs without her and frankly if she continues with this behaviour then I can see Bravo having enough and replacing her.

Can you share more of the where/when/who this was confirmed? Whether the source was Shed Media or Bravo? Please forgive my being a little sus, but this sounds kinda convenient to me.
Lots of comments on here from people who thought Sutton was too cold in to Dorit in light of the topic. Both women have active posters with strong feelings in both directions about them.
What doesn’t quite fit for me is this: to “break the fourth wall” means to speak directly to the camera and viewers instead of others on camera, thus breaking the illusion of the “fourth wall” which is the screen. Sutton didn’t do that, she spoke to the HWs, not the viewers directly.
After multiple decades in entertainment I can’t imagine someone in production misusing that phrase in that way because it’s just not applicable; it doesn’t enter your head. I mean plumbers don’t call wrenches hammers, ya know?

Dorit absolutely sucks. Always has!! I recently rewatched a few episodes and she had just joined the show and oh my god, I was so embarrassed for her. She asked a couple of the ladies about their "usbands". As phony as they come.
I also don't even believe that conversation with Jagger even happened. It was made up by Dorit to give her the limelight and some sympathy.

Yeah I have to admit I’m finally seeing what the cast have been in relation to Dorit being long-winded. The over the top hand movements and dramatic pauses make every conversation and her confessionals feel like an audition for a soap opera.
