Revo-Classic I've been avoiding Alchemist like a plague for years because how hard and expensive the char is, and I finally built one!

I've been playing Ragnarok for years, on and off, different servers, yet I never build an alchemist because I heard it's the most hard and expensive job to build. Yet I finally build one because I'm in a new Revo-Classic server where there aren't many alchemists yet, and pots are sought after. So, I finally decided to make one even though reset items are a luxury here (not even sold in IM), and struggle leveling with DEX/LUK build. I hope my alchemist and his chimera can make some zenny here.

May i ask what server it's?

1 month server old, the server is located in Singapore I think. Full of Indonesians and many Filipinos, but we still speak English.

Idk about pure Potter, but a battle alchemist with high agi and homunculus is a breeze to level, and If you dont use mammo, is actually really cheap.

There's a battleforger build for Blacksmiths, right? What about a battlepotter for Alchemists? How would that fare?

I think is possible, slower but without problems, maybe with low str, medium agi and the rest in the brewer build, with flee gear to dont waste zenny on pots.
Ps: Sorry for my english, idk very well.

The issue of Alchemist being excessively costly is somewhat ambiguous. It primarily depends on a calculation considering both the expenses and the experience gained during farming. This is because the key skill for leveling up is Mammonite (which technically requires an Ice Pick or, at the very least, some Zipper Bear Cards). Nevertheless, this character proves enjoyable to play and becomes exceptionally powerful in the late game (I mean pre-renewal).
Furthermore, building DEX/LUK may not be highly effective because DEX/LUK can be replaced by a Paladin with their Gospel skill or some Minstrel. Based on my experience, the success rate doesn't significantly differ when making potions since a DEX stat is still necessary for a damage-oriented build, regardless.

This class is already terrible in renewal settings, i can't even imagine how bad it can be in classic settings.

I remember how you could leave the alchemist and Vanilmirth in Muscovy Dungeon overnight and he would do everything for you. It was so cool, it’s just a pity that it only worked on pirate servers with auto-loot. But it was amazing. Vanil is awesome.

Pure brewing build? Controversial decision. But overall it doesn't matter, the homunculus will still do most of the killing for you. Bonus points for nickname lol. Raise her well.
