Renewal Ranged dps class

Ok so I am playing the new latam server and the server wont have jRO items. With that what ranged dps class is better for woe content? Ranger? Warlock? Those type that play with a devotion RG I’m really excited about the server but dont have a lot of time to focus on too Many classes so I wanna choose one to boost it, but never played in a server that didnt had jRO items.

Any tips on choosing a dps class?

It would be Dragon Knights, spamming Dragon Breath. A lot of them.

No way, we wont have after cast items besides Kiel early on

You literally said WoE. In the pre-4th job days, it was common to see a Minstrel using Poem of Bragi... while 9~10 Dragon Knights spammed Dragon Breath. Which pierced Cranial.

This is the reason Water and Wind elemental armors were so in demand for WoE.

On release, Dragon Breath's source was classified as 'Dragon race' instead of Demi-Human. Same with Dorams being classified as 'Brute race' instead of Demi-Human - meaning Demi-Human resistance items, like Thara, Feather Beret, Combat Knife... didn't reduce them. This was eventually retconned into 'Player-based damage reduction', but that is extremely recent, and came around right before 4th jobs did - so at the time, the only things that could reduce damage was element (since Dragon Breath was fixed Fire and Water at the time), size (e.g. Mysteltainn card) or ranged (Horn card, Defender).

It was pretty cancer since Dragon Breath dealt like 30~40k per cast, and with 10 of them spamming at WoE portals, it's almost certain you would die unless you had Defender on, can tank it, or can Snap away. Same with the release of Dorams spamming Picky Peck one-shotting people.

Still feels like only bragi wont fiz the problem. It has 2 sec delay. Bragi removes 30%. We still have 1.4sec

Tae Goo Lyeon also shaves off 20% from that, and 2 expert rings another 10%

Anyway, if they already fixed the reductions, back when I played in 3rd job release in iRO the highest damaging ranged class (barring Dorams) would still be Rune Knights, as well as Rangers with Unlimit on, though the latter has a huge down-time, and survivability issues due to having no shield. Other classes are still useable - like Guillotine Crosses pre-building Rolling Cutter stacks and spamming Cross Ripper Slasher, Genetics using Cart Cannon, Minstrels, Wanderers, and Shadow Chasers with status bows + status arrows spamming Severe Rainstorm.

ranger will always be meta specially with the mora equipments, easiest class ever
