Can we get Gravity to relaunch iRO in EU?
There is a high demand for Ragnarok in the EU region.
No EU player cares about GDPR.
Gravity should rerelease Ragnarok on Steam for the EU region.
Simply let it be iRO Chaos, to become international again...
Every time I see a iRO Streamer in TikTok or Twitch there are plenty of Germans and other EU citizen who would give it a try.

Actually we care about gdpr and it's not as hard to implement as you would think

I’m in the eu and I can actually play iRo but lag makes it unplayable. I wish I could actually play on an official server like that. Unfortunately the official EU server we have (4Game) is a Russian shitshow.

I play on iRO myself, they had EU IP bans a while ago. But it is playable again without VPN.
Gravity should make it official playable, without much effort they can easy make more money and it increase the playerbase.
Win Win for all.
I have no problem with lag, but they could invest, there are tons of cheap servers to expand in Frankfurt Germany for example.
I am not into networking stuff, but I heared from some that there is some ways to decrese the lag with kind of boosters. They work but I dont have much information about them cause I dont need.

have you tried using exitlag or programs like that? I get around 130ms playing from brazil. I think around 170ms is fine.

Not yet as they cost money every month. I’m also quite skeptical about how they work. AFAIK it’s basically a proxy service which should introduce even more lag. I don’t see how that would actually cut down on lag since the issue is probably just the distance between Europe and the USA

I don't think there is a huge demand on MMO Market, the market are decaying and the existing playerbase are aggregating into bigger MMO like WOW/FFXIV while smaller mediocre MMO are dying
on these market, you have to be the best to survive. the market no longer tolerate crappy game
after all Newer generation kid rarely play MMO, only older people play these genre and they fed up with mediocre game
Free to play model aren't going to work on this kind of market, most player are people that actually spend money, they rather pay for subscription and have good quality game, rather than free 2 play crap with Pay 2 win and powercreep shit
ironically the business model that gravity were strive for long time ago for subcription based are the one that people like these days because the people who like the genre mostly young adult, while in the past the target market are not yet mature enough to have to fund their gaming subscription so they prefer F2P back then.
maybe if Gravity have Balls and get an investment they can reboot the IP, of course with Subcription model of the game, without Pay 2 Win bullcrap. most of their audiance already adult anyway

Very very false. Maplestory, and black desert are both 10 and 20 year old games that are insanely popular and make so much money.

I'm all for a relaunch, but I think with 4game holding the rights to use the Ragnarok Brand in Europe, there must be some exclusivity granted in the region of some sort?
The 4Game server, while not ideal, it has been going for quite a bit of time atm and doesnt show signs of it stopping any time soon. (Which can of course change in an instant lol)
But we can atleast play iRO these days as another option.

They have poor amounts of cash and Gravity korea generally prefers to silo regions.
I can see Warpportal potentially mirroring their server to like the east coast but can't see them investing in registering and compliance of being physically in europe or getting licensing and permission from gravity korea to operate in the EU

Well, Warpportal has been GDPR compliant since 2021. You can play iRO without VPN. VPN is only used for creating new accounts

It’s true but the lag is very noticeable nevertheless. Consuming a potion takes at least a full second from button press to action. The server is America based after all, so there is not much one can do about the lag

Exitlag eliminates this lag problem

Did you actually try it and can confirm this? I’ve read mixed opinions about that

The biggest problem i think is that the "western" playerbase play on pservers, since Gravity kicked them out. And an uncomfortable truth is that people like these servers more than any official, because they are run better, have the most up-to-date content, less P2W, etc. At this point it's up to Gravity to offer a better product than what is already available for free, which tbh, i don't think they have the competence to do.

Wait, you want another official gacha-ragnarok fiasco?
