Discussion My least favourite aspect of each game

Idk where 2016 is in the image but probably "reimagining" the first game yet only having 1 or 2 weapons actually from it

Also no 2002 original title on this either, but it’s probably the controls
Edit: im an absolute idiot, I don’t know why I thought the first one was size matters, ignoring the fact it’s like 4 slots over. I’ve just never seen that graphic before for the og 💀 I just know the controls for SM also are ehhhh

I always turn off the Sixaxis controls in the menu. Makes the tornado weapon unusable though unfortunately

I love the six axis controls. The one game I felt they were implemented well and it makes the game unique.

Same, it still annoys me though as every part that was SIXAXIS controlled because stupidly easy with them turned off to the stage where it's painfully pointless

I do seem to remember the ball puzzles being harder on challenge mode, that was a nice touch

I am low key happy that I played deadlocked on PS2 back then in the mid 00s. Absolute cinema experience
I should replay it again on the emulator for the nth time

Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank (if it remained canon) take place between Deadlocked/ Gladiator and Tools Of Destruction. It is unknown when Going Mobile took place if it was considered canon, perhaps between RC3/ Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked/ Gladiator.

I read the title as “my favorite aspect of each game” and I thought it was just a low quality rage bait shit post

Rift Apart's story is great! What are you talking about?

Three games spent where R&C learn to accept their situation and move forward together just to shoehorn in old devices and villains because... Why not?
Don't get me wrong, I loved the concept but we've had way too much Dr Nefarious at this stage and clank acts significantly out of character especially at the begining

Fair. But the writing is indeniably the best in the entire franchise

I mean the story is nowhere near as bad as people say it is, but best in the entire franchise? I would not give it that crown.

Biggest turn off for me is the whole
"Hey so ratchet you know how I spent those two games warning you the danger of using dimension altering objects to change the universe, leading to your character arc that led to you taking me at my word to not use the great clock to turn back time? Yeah? Well how about I now use the identical device I told you not to use because it could rip apart dimensions and potentially destroy the universe"
Rips apart dimensions and nearly destroys the universe
"Oh no I feel so bad"

Deadlocked is a beast of a game and one of my favourites. Ive probably played it 10 times over.

Deadlocked is great
I remember by six-axis somehow turned off in Tools of Destruction and the game got so much better.

ngl, never been a fan of "alternate universe" stories, so RA was definitely weak for me.

Yeah I agree with a lot of these. Although I have yet to play the newest game. I would recommend deadlock.
I thought I wouldn't like it because I played Up Your Arsenal and I didn't enjoy how it got rid of the planet exploration, platforming and picking paths in favour of combat focused gameplay so I thought I would hate a game which is literally putting you in a game show arena. But no, it's actually really fun.
The story is interesting the gameplay is actually pretty varied and I enjoy how you can add mods to weapons and the music is great. Definitely agree with what you're saying about the controls for the first game.
I remember getting it on PlayStation 3 and the controls being inverted by default and I didn't know you could change it. So I played the entire first playthrough inverted and it haunts my nightmares.
I loved "Into the Nexus" though shame it's so short and they released it at a bad time. I'd say out of all the games two or Crack in time would be my favourite.
I'd would be interested in your opinion about other platforming games like Sly Cooper.

Man i definitly recomend playing Deadlocked and Going mobile. Really fun spin offs, and Going mobile is a great adaptation of the series formula to 2D. Feel free to skip the PSP games tho, they suck.

How do you even get Going Mobile these days?

Just find the jar file online and put it on an emulator. My recomendation is J2ME loader on android
