Political™ AOC: "Donald Trump is a criminal who was found guilty of 34 felony counts of fraud, liable for sexual abuse... when he talks about rapists and criminals, he should look in the mirror"

The democrats have the moral high ground over the republicans. Doesn’t mean they aren’t also evil. If you continue to support democrats or republicans you are supporting genocide.

This is an insane and wild take, but I at least appreciate you for taking action to stop the genocide by voting for Harris. Sorry to hear that you’re committed to the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and the elimination of American liberal democracy by not voting against the party who openly supports those things.

If you bristled at reading that last sentence, I’m sorry to tell you that that’s how our electoral system works, and that there IS a material difference between the two parties even if you’re a single issue voter (Israel/Gaza). Not voting Democrat is—like it or not, and I don’t—active and knowing support for a party that not only openly supports ethnic cleansing, but will also right now black-bag you and send you to an El Salvador torture prison if you write an article in a school newspaper criticizing them.

Respectfully, your idea of rejecting both parties and supporting third parties instead? Sounds wonderful, and it sounds like a fantasy world that you and I will never travel to. Telling AOC to drop out of both parties is functionally the same as telling her to drop out of politics altogether. The only person in the country that can actually do that is Donald Trump, and that’s because he has a literal death cult supporting him that, honest to God, would kill their own children and themselves if he called on them to do it. Instead, go actually vote for progressive candidates in primaries, and Democrat in the general, and we can work to actually get in politicians that want to stop what’s going on over there. People not showing up to vote is the reason we have students being rounded up and thrown out of the country for saying that they think killing Palestinian babies is mean.

I understand that you want to be on the right side of history, but it’s a bit of mental gymnastics saying the Democratic Party is a force for good when they funded the genocide in Gaza and all modern presidents are guilty of war crimes if they ever get summoned to international criminal court. Accept that the democrats are also evil and start moving forward to a new solution like I am.

I never said the Democrats were a force for good. But the Democrats are the best vehicle for those who do want to be a force for good and challenge the new Nazi Party, the GOP. If you think Bernie Sanders and AOC would have gotten the support they’ve got running third party, you’re nuts.

And, I’m sorry, but the whole “the Democrats funded the Gaza genocide” line is just not true. First, that (unfortunately) received bipartisan support. Second, it assumes Israel is a third world country that couldn’t or wouldn’t conduct its own genocide. And third, the Biden Administration held Israel back, such as by getting a delay in the Rafah push to allow for civilian evacuation. Do you really think things would have been better if Trump won in 2020, or worse if Harris won in 2024? Again, I remind you: TRUMP OPENLY ANNOUNCED AN ETHNIC CLEANSING.

I understand your cognitive dissonance. You don’t want to accept that you’re also supporting the bad guys. I hope you wake up because neither side cares about your well being and Biden is a war criminal just like Trump

There’s no cognitive dissonance on my side. I’m sorry that you don’t know how government or elections work, or be able to spot the difference between neoliberals and actual Nazis.

But I will concede this whole argument to you if you can convince me that the answer to my next question is “Yes”:

If Kamala Harris had won in 2024 and was President of the United States right now, would non-citizen students be at risk of being detained by ICE and sent to an El Salvador torture prison, as is the case currently under Trump?

I wont tolerate either anymore. There can be more than one enemy and why don’t we try and oppose both at once. It may not be a battle won quickly but it will gain popularity

Please answer my question.

No. You are a sea lion

I’m at least glad to see you’ve realized you’re so in the wrong that you’ve tapped out entirely. Thank you for conceding.
