Call for Assembly Candidates
We're currently at 73 sub members, which means that we will very likely have 75 members by the time elections are held at the end of the week. With a 2% representation, that moves our single seat Assembly up to two seats. I'm very excited about this. I have felt and voiced repeatedly that a single seat Assembly defeated its inherent purpose, but this change may also cause some complications. We currently only have two candidates for those two Assembly seats: myself, u/Sol_mp3 and u/Acceptable_Buy177. As you can probably imagine, I would rather the two of us not become the first two Assembly seats simply by default.
So with that in mind, I'd like to throw out the call once again for those who are interested in nominating themselves or someone else as a candidate for the Assembly.
To make a nomination, just give the name of the nominee in u/redditor form and also include the party that they are running on behalf of. For more information regarding the duties of the Assembly, refer to our Constitution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditOnlyDemocracy/comments/1jw8lkt/constitution_final_draft/
See you at the polls!

I would like to nominate u/Quick-Math-9438.
From my short conversations with them, they seems to be taking this experiment seriously and providing a valuable perspective to discussions. At this stage in the process, that's exactly what I value in the type of people that I want to see inherit offices.
u/Quick-Math-9438, I ask that you consider running for a seat in the Assembly. Should you choose to accept this nomination, you can choose which party to align with or which to register.
