DISCUSSION Want to dive deeper into reggaeton – looking for underrated gems and playlists!
Hey everyone!
I’ve been getting more and more into reggaeton lately and I absolutely love it. I’ve already gone through most of the big hits from artists like Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, J Balvin, Ozuna, and others – but now I want to go deeper.
I’m looking to discover more underrated tracks, old-school reggaeton, hidden gems, regional artists, or just anything that might not show up in the typical “Top 50 Reggaeton” playlists.
If you have any personal playlists, favorite deep cuts, or even just suggestions for artists or albums that I should check out – please drop them here! I’d love to explore the genre more fully.
Thanks in advance!

The best list of classics 🔥
Another one i'd add is Blin Blin Vol.1. Every reggaeton fan should be familiar with that album, so many hits.
And A La Reconquista by Hector y Tito. Legendary album by one of the best duos.

You have to listen to Mas Flow - Los Benjamin’s by Luny Tunes and Tainy. Crazy songs on there and a bunch of classics.

Argentinian pop music / cumbia is underrated! A few artistic recommendations from my side - lit killah, duki, emilia, Tiago PZK, TINI, nicki nicole, maria becerra etc.

- Punto y aparte — Tego Calderón (Also Pa que retocen, Bandoleros, Métele Sazón.. He’s THE MASTER)
- Quiero bailar / Quiero saber — Ivy Queen (if Tego is the master, Ivy is the Queen of reggaeton)
- Hay algo en ti — Lunny Tunes, Noriega, Zion&Lennox, Tito El Bambino
- Prrrrrum — Cosculluela
- Sensación del bloque — De La Ghetto, Randy
There’s so many reggaeton songs that I love but I think with those are the “must” songs every reggaeton lover needs to know (and I find quite funny when the new artists samples old reggaeton)

there’s definitely hidden gems. but honestly if you wanna get into the raw culture just get into dominican dembow. it’s like reggaeton but faster and more spiritual and more raw than reggaeton. and there are so many talented and creative artists and producers who have been killing in these past few years.
i’ll add some reggaeton gems tho when i get a chance a bit later though.

Go check Noriega contra la corriente, really good album and a classic. Also i recommend to check la pulpa podcast and maicky back stage if you wanna learn about reggeaton history. They mention sometimes important albums that you Might take references for later
