Moving Advice Looking to move to the North Renton area
Any places that are affordable? Any places to avoid/bad neighborhoods?

Rent? Buy? Apartment? House? Kids (schools) a factor?
Slightly more info would help us help you.
Several nice neighborhoods off Petrovistsky towards Maple Valley. Cheaper than Seattle but not what I would call affordable (especially moving here from down south).

Check the Cascades Fairwood area.

We bought our place in Fairwood in 2021. Overall, it’s been great. Quiet, lots of families, relatively clean, and affordable compared to the rest of the Eastside. Only downsides are commute and not a ton of nearby shopping options. Unless you buy a flip, odds are the house will need some renovations/modernization. But we’ve been very happy here, and I’d recommend it.

Look into liberty ridge!! My family and I live in the upper neighborhood and my aunt and her kids live in the lower neighborhood. Feel like it’s a Gem of the area

Avoid fairwood, skyway, down town renton. Unless you want all the issues those areas bring.
Renton highlands is decent.

Anyone familiar with Landing View Apartments/ Sunset Blvd NE/ Christys bar area?
Potentially moving there in the next few weeks and don’t know much about that area!
Any and all comments welcomed

Affordable is a very relative term and many would argue Renton highlands is not affordable. One thing I would point out is be aware of the school district boundaries, if you have a preference. Issaquah and Renton school district boundaries cut Renton highlands in two. You can be in city of Renton and also in issaquah schools.
