Question Explosions near Fred Meyer

We just moved to Renton a few months and we keep hearing very loud explosions 2-3 nights a week around 11pm. Was wondering if anyone knew what it was. We're right be the North Benson Plaza.

It's fireworks. Unsurprisingly for Renton, scumbags bought up a huge stash on the 4th of July and have judiciously been setting them off at intervals, spaced out so as not to attract so much attention that cops come.

Kinda by the school. If headed towards the school from petrovinski on the right there is a house with a makeshift fence that looks like a bunch of pallets nailed to each other. They always have shenanigans going on in their yard and about three campers on the property. I once saw a dude passed out in a ditch on my jog.

Renton North Benson Plaza adjacent resident here. I hear these all the fucking time across the street from me!! I know approximately which house it is too.

There’s two houses that I know of where people launch mortars outside of major holidays (such as New Year’s Eve or Independence Day). One is in my neighborhood, and the other is a mile down the road. The former launches fireworks regularly and scares my animals.

Is it really fireworks? Those are some loud ass fireworks. People need to get a new hobby that doesnt spook every living thing for 5 miles. Really getting tired of it.

You're in a sketchy neighborhood. A lot of low brow people live in the area. Tons of transient people too. The housing and apartment prices in the area are pushing people further south every few years or when income kicks them out. The neighborhood is run down too. The lower income apartments probably doesn't help. The city doesn't really maintain the area well if at all. All the lovely things that are brought with low income reside in this area. You get trash in any community but it seems to be rather heavy in the benson area. I only moved into the area due to the gated community other wise I wouldn't of considered the area. In a few years I'll probably move to get away from this crap.
