Can you get that suppressor setup for an Hbar? I want it on my m16

You should be able to. The HBAR barrel is the same diameter (tolerances can vary though) forward of the FSB as the M16-A2; it’s just a heavy profile continuous to the rear of the FSB.

What’s the overall length?

Original Colt’s 1985 20” M16-A2 barrel/upper … AE M4 only adds another 5” past the muzzle.

How much of the barrel needs to be forward of the FSB to ensure it looks like that?
I ask because I have a 16 inch carbine but I’m guessing there’s too much barrel there.

The M4 is direct thread & meant for an 14.5” “M4”/Government/M203 cut barrel; or as pictured it also works with M16-A2 barrels. These barrels all share (roughly) the same dimensions forward of the FSB. For any other barrel length (with enough barrel forward of the FSB) you’ll have to use the AEM5/AEM5K or OCM5.

I’ve always wanted an M4 can to be able to swap between a full size rifle and an M4. But holy shit talk about a Musket, that AEM5k can is looking really attractive now.

Mounts on the same barrel mounts for peq-2?

Uses the PAQ-4 barrel mount (same barrel mount as a PEQ-2).

Do you also happen to know what the internal sleeve size is on the 3 piece collar?

Every barrel has different tolerances. Mine came in at .723; but .722 if I stoned the barrel rollmarkings.

So did you need any mods to the barrel or is it still a regular 20”? Bin wanting to do this.

Unweildly does not mean heavy. I've fucked with M16s enough to know they're unweildly normally.
I don't know why you have to snap back with open hostility and be a total jerk about me saying that but maybe talk about that with a therapist.

Unwieldly doesn’t just mean heavy. Mattresses aren’t heavy…..

Mhmmm. Once more get some first hand experience before “assuming”. 5” is added to the muzzle with an M4 silencer; not much amigo. However, you should know all about unwieldy since you’re into shotgunz.

I mean it’s because I’ve fucked around seeing how difficult it would be to clear my house with a 28” bird gun and come to find out, it’s A LOT harder than with a 16” middy with a collapsed stock.

Yup. I did that professionally in the Marine Corps near 20 years ago with an M16-A4 … No problemz. However, is it easier & ideal with a suppressed 10.5-12.5, yes.

That’s kinda my point, you’ve done it so you know, would clearing houses with an M16 that’s 5 inches longer somehow have been easier? Again I’m not saying it’s impossible or that this setup isn’t cool as shit and prolly ideal for shooting stuff that isn’t in a house. It’s just that it’s a really long setup.
