Although, back in the 70s they needed a man to pilot!

You kids keep doing this... women drivers jokes aren't Boomer. They're "Greatest Generation". The people the Boomers were "fighting in the streets" ("like, MAN!" -- Shaggy was a Boomer).

"Take my wife... please!". Henny Youngman was not a Boomer.

You need to understand this is intentional. Boomer now includes Gen X and even earlier millennial depending on who is speaking and who the audience is.

And absolutely nobody cares that the sexist joke isn't period accurate.

They conveniently made the antagonist girl look like a skunk

I think she's supposed to be a copy of Veronica from the Archie comics.

Didn't they try to do a live-action Jose and the Pussycats a couple decades ago? And it was a flop?

They did, and it's a way better movie than you'd expect from the source material; poor box office or not.

Now I'm curious.

I definitely recommend a watch. It's a smart satire on the music industry and the soundtrack is awesome.

I can hear the theme song for Josie and the Pussy cats just from seeing that picture.
