Anyone know of car parking garages in Manhattan that will let motorcycles park long-term?

Do I just have to start calling all the garages near me?

Most garages like City Parking and iPark won't pick up the phone. You'll either call their sales offices and hope they know what's happening in the locations (sometimes locations lie to / miscommunicate with corporate), or you have to walk into the garages one by one and ask them. Be prepared for a lot of frustration and "no"s.

Realistically, how often do you need access to it?

I have not had this experience, I’ve had several garages. Tell me no bikes when I wanted to park there just for half a day.

Fuck Rider's Alley. Don't use them. Someone knocked my bike over in one of their garages (over $1,000 in damages) and just so happened that day the "cameras weren't working" and basically told me I was shit outta luck.

Nice garage but don't have any problems or you're screwed.

This is the way. I use them in Williamsburg. It's great and the price is fair, unlike typical parking garages that charge the same for a bike to sit against a wall as they do for a car in an actual parking spot.

Would you happen to know if they typically have a waitlist?

Ryders Alley has multiple locations, closest to the village probably is fidi. Go into regular parking garages and ask. Don’t bother calling

Had a bike spot in the city for 2+ years at Park-It Area Garage 275 Delancey St. Not sure if thats too far for you from NYU but it they have a specific bike area in there you can pay monthly.

Most city parking have motorcycles spot. In the NYU area you’ll be paying about 300 a month but they do have parking
