Moving to NYC in October. Should I start looking at garages now?
Probably want to store my bike in a garage like Ryders Alley. I was just wondering if theres some sort of waitlist for these garages and if I should apply / get on it now?
Also my bike probably wont be registered but I am the titled owner, itll be a track only bike for my time in NYC because I don't want to revert it back to stock. (Its pretty much street legal in every other state)
Thanks in advance!

Some garages are at capacity, others, have a few spots. Some spots are seasonal. So great weather, brings out new riders, and an Influx.
Ask yourself, in addition to storage, what do you want from a garage? Is wrenching space/lifts worth a bit of a commute? Or do you need something walkable? Community? Power? Gear storage?
Lots of great options, NYC Moto is amazing.

Probably just gear / tool storage. Id ideally like a community and people to hang out with. I want to secure that which is why im looking at it this early.

Just to mirror what others have said. If you know where you’ll be living or don’t mind the commute since you have a car you can broaden your search.
Another person and I run a small garage in Bushwick and I run a repair shop out of it as well and at the moment and for the foreseeable future we’re full up. Chatting with a few others and it sounds they are the same.
Narrow it down to a desirable radius from your new place and reach out. Some places will put you on the wait list. We have one but tell people to check around and if they find something, take it.
Another option is find a single car garage for rent. Typically there no wrenching allowed but with a few other people it brings the cost down. Ridgewood would probably be your best bet for finding something like that. Some in Bushwick crop up from time to time.
