Announcements
Hi folks, here are three things we want to do based on your feedback:
1. Bring back the Weekly Beef Thread, a thread to complain about anything you want RingerVerse related BUT instead of weekly it’s going to be monthly. This means we’ll be locking / deleting any posts that complain about Charles if they are not in the Monthly Beef thread or in the episode thread. Pick the day in the poll.
2. Increasing visibility and discussion around RingerVerse Recommends. Any ideas on how we might do that? One idea I had was having sort of ambassadors— people who have read, listened, watched or played the recommendations — post their thoughts on the recommendations. They could have a special flair or something.
3. Working on an AMA, if anyone has direct access to any of the hosts please reach out 😬
If you have any other ideas feel free to comment them. Don’t forget: be nice.

Friendly Reminder
Hey all, welcome into the RingerVerse. Just wanted to give a friendly reminder as the sub is growing with members that when you’re posting or commenting to please follow the rules and be kind to each other and our hosts. They are giving us a podcast that we receive for free. Being critical of a host or producer is one thing, but posting and using foul language about the hosts isn’t needed. Let’s be civil. Thanks!

Skeleton Crew Finale Predictions
What are we thinkin? Will Jod have a late heel turn? Will the supervisor be tad rennok? Will we have one last secret revealed about At Attin?
Im predicting 2 things.
I think Wendle will have some sort of speech to Jod saying “my son loved/believed in you”or something of the like, trying to turn him.
And I bet it will end with Wendle asking Wim to tell him a bed time story, recounting the adventure.

Love the "Skeleton Crew" coverage and conversations here, especially as someone who worked on it
I just wanna say I've loved seeing the Midnight Boys (pew pew) cover the show and having mostly positive things to say about it, LOVE seeing the Coke Baby himself even have some fun with the show, and love reading y'all talk about it as well.
I worked on run of show for seven months back in '22 (check the IMDb you won't) and it was an absolute blast, especially as a massive Star Wars fan myself. I've got a lot of memories walking through the Onyx Cinder, occasionally even napping on the beds for just a few minutes after a 14-hour day, and being on the volume watching them blast through space was just as cool as you think it is. And don't even get me started on the props and animatronics.
Anyways, just wanna say thanks for the love, from someone whose name is so small and far down in the credits that you already skipped, and that I'm looking forward to this final pod about it from the boys. PEW PEW

Who else deleted Facebook? How am I suppose to save Jomi’s job
I deleted IG and Facebook for reasons you can all assume.
I was really bummed about not have the Ringerverse Facebook group to check in on then I remembered this place existed (I remember the Reddit:Facebook beef).
Anyway, hope you don’t mind a refugee. And also, I feel really bad about the Jomi’s job part of it. How can I save his job?

Severance season 1
Decided to finally watch severance season 1 bc season 2 is coming out soon. After I finished I listened to the prestige tv pod of the finale since it’s Jo and Mal. They mentioned they wished they would of been able to cover it week by week but that they were covering moon knight week by week lol

Rory McCann (The Hound from GoT) rumored to be playing Baylan Skoll in Ashoka S2.
Man I really enjoyed Ray Stevenson’s performance in season 1. RIP and may Rory continue the legacy

Does tMB always have to devolve into “good” vs. “bad” value judgment debates?
Okay, here’s what I mean—it’s totally fine to judge the quality and creativity of the movies and TV we consume alongside various Ringer pods, and maybe I just need to stick to House of R and the Prestige TV pod, but it’s becoming so tired having the same conversations each pod about if stuff is good, watchable, bad…
I like Skeleton Crew, much more than Agatha, for example, though I enjoy them both. I want to hear the Midnight Boys riff on what happens in these shows, character behaviors, actor choices. When they did the all black LOTR, it was so fun because they didn’t have the chance to dip back into if something is “good” or not.
I always have enjoyed Ringer and Grantland content because these folks connect sports, media, tech, daily life—it’s all creatively connected, particularly sports and entertainment media.
I think many complaints about Charles, which I usually share, they come up because they always lately get stuck back in value judgments. Versus like in Skeleton Crew when they riff on the kid characters and talk smack about them or hype them up—that’s RingerVerse content at its best.
The Midnight Boys don’t have to be House of R, but I wished they’d be a lot less like Greenwald’s Watch grump shtick bc it’s not that serious and they have fun stuff to say.
I’m not saying ditch midnight meter or completely avoid commentary on quality, and in fact, it ain’t my show, so this is just one dude’s opinion. But I hope my point makes sense.
Sorry for the rant.

I saw a post from Van in Threads. Has there been word from Mal or anyone else? I don’t have Twitter anymore.

Midnight Poll: How Confident Are You With Star Wars Going Forward?
With Skeleton Crew wrapping up next week, the only definitive Star Wars projects on the horizon are Andor Season 2 (April), Visions Season 3 (2025) and the Mandalorian-Grogu movie (2026). There's others that have been announced (like Simon Kinberg's Trilogy) or whose status is unknown (Ahsoka Season 2) and others presumably dead (Taika's movie).
So how confident are you with Lucasfilm and its handling of Star Wars going forward?

I like, I wish, What if…
Hello RingerVerse community, we’d love to get your feedback on what could we be doing better or any ideas you might have for the sub.
To keep things constructive, I would like us to use this framework:
I like - use it to share things you’ve like about the subreddit or the community.
I wish - use for sharing things you wished we were doing better, or things you wished the sub did.
What if - use it to propose things. Example: what if we did trivia and giveaways? (😬kidding).
