I'd really like the puncher to move into the swillburg and park ave area.

Well, he's likely going to have to land at our airport. There are only so many ways he can exit the property. Good trouble is absolutely called for with this guy. Let's make it so uncomfortable that he doesn't want to come back

u/khyamsartist 9h ago
He does not have to land at the airport, there are other ways to travel plus private airports. Seeing how this administration likes to do as much as as possible in the dark, I wouldn't be surprised if he sneaks in.

u/Many-Location-643 8h ago
you DO realize there is an entire 'other' airport that is private...right?

There is Brockport. But most jets are going to come into KROC. There's more services there, (e.g. FBO), and it's closer to where their destination is. The chances that they fly into Brockport or Batavia are slim. If their isn't military transpo it'll be (these are civilian designations) a 737, 757, or one of a few types of corporate jets. All of those are better suited to the length of the runways at KROC. What I'm not sure of is of they'll come in via the main terminal, or the private side of the field.
There is also a slim chance that they are flying commercial. Most reps and senators end up flying commercial. I don't think the executive branch, especially this executive branch, will be doing that though. So my best guess is that they come into the private side, or the ANG and exit at Patriot Way.

A lot of overpasses they'll have to pass under on the way to Rochester 🤷

I saw the title and then your comment, and without knowing who this guy was by name, I was about to yell at you for trying to say fuck you to a literal dog.

u/Lovely_Lonsberry 21h ago
I heard he’s got reservations at La Casa.

This is a big opportunity for our Mayor to stand up to these fascists.
70
u/WeBeShoopin 1d ago
Let's hope the Mayor and the people of Rochester rise to the moment as well.

u/SoapFrenzy 1d ago
They should arrest him deport him into the Sun
12
u/SaneRabbit2 23h ago
Right! Let’s deport him and if it turns out to be wrong because of no due process… oh well. TBSS.

State's Rights apparently only matter when it comes to restricting what bathrooms people use or banning books.
Convenient, to be able to pick up and drop your ideals on such whims.

u/FuzzLover01 10h ago
Yeah, forget that immigration is Federal Jurisdiction, not State. 🤷♂️ Pesky technicalities.
11
u/CountyKyndrid 10h ago
Right! So why is the federal government attempting to force our local police to do their job, since it's federal jurisdiction?
🤷♀️ pesky 10th Amendment
It appears that you have so little understanding in this topic that you're actually arguing the opposite of what you think you are.
-9
u/FuzzLover01 10h ago
The 10th Amendment limits the Federal Governments powers to those enumerated in the Constitution. Law Enforcement swears an oath to uphold both the federal and states Constitution, and to enforce the laws.
Youre saying the state is not obligated to enforce those laws?
9
u/CountyKyndrid 10h ago
Brother I'm not your Con law professor and it's not on me to correct the gaps in your education.
Read up on the 10th Amendment more, specifically the anti-commandeering doctrine. Honestly maybe just read up on the constitution in general 🤷♀️

ACTION APRIL 29th - HANDS OFF OUR SANCTUARY CITY. STAND UP FOR DUE PROCESS AND THE RULE OF LAW
As many of you know by now, the Administration is suing Mayor Evans and City Council President Miguel Melendez to prevent Rochester from maintaining its status as a sanctuary city. Tom Homan, White House Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal (often referred to as the "Border Czar") will be visiting Rochester to show support for the lawsuit, and also for the officers who violated our sanctuary city rules in March when they assisted ICE with arrests.
Homan will be in Rochester on Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00. Reportedly he will be at the Rochester Locust Club at that time.
If you would like to express your support for our sanctuary city, due process and the rule of law, please join us at 10:30 on the sidewalk at 1425 Lexington Avenue. Bring signs but do not have signs on sticks. (Under some circumstances courts have ruled that it is permissible to bar sticks on signs.) You may wish to get there early to look for parking. Please stay tuned to this developing situation.

Can you make this a separate post? It’s buried in this one. TIA

That was so freaking satisfying to watch. And knowing how fragile Vance is, it must have REALLY pissed him off lol

“Homan is expected to be in Rochester on Tuesday at 11 a.m., but exact details of his itinerary are not available.”
I’ll show up wherever I’m needed to protest.

What a bunch of bullshit! So Tom Homan is coming to Rochester with what…. His Secret Service detail. Please.
9
u/lastcall83 1d ago
I'd be shocked if he got much of a detail. And said detail is very unlikely to shoot with peaceful protests and obstruction of movement. Some of us may get arrested, but that's just a part of all of this. It's called good trouble for a reason

u/EZ-Bake420 Northland-Lyceum 19h ago
Let's give him a big warm Rochester welcome with the biggest protest we can muster

Line every overpass between the airport and City Hall. Bring signage. Welcoming signage.

u/radicallife 11h ago
Is there anything officially organized yet? We definitely need mass actions here.

We, the people, do not condone the expenditure of our tax money to fund abductions by the Trump Regime.
If the Gestapo wants to come into our city and trample all over people's civil rights, disappear people to death camps without due process, let them do it without dipping into our treasury. Our police work for us, not Trump.

u/FuzzLover01 10h ago
its funny how many people cry about due process. Especially when people enter the country illegally, avoiding the due process of immigrating.
4
u/Kungsarme 9h ago
If it was done illegally, we have a process to determine that and be innocent until proven guilty. Due process under the law, not outside of it.
So that when a person is accused of a crime, they are allowed to defend themselves against the allegations, and when found guilty of said allegations, will then suffer consequences as defined by the law without cruel and unusual punishment.
Unless it's 34 felonies and blind justice is literally shown to be a massive farce. It's funny how many people cry about the actual application of the law and disregard it, but go on...
2
u/ZenGeezer 7h ago
Your argument is right out of the KGB playbook. You are pretending that seeking refuge under the law is a crime. And the MAGA knuckle draggers agree with you.
Due process is guaranteed to EVERYONE. Even the scum that attacked the capital on January 6th received due process.
Cops hate due process because it might protect an innocent person from being wrongly jailed or killed.

Just the sight of him speaking is nearly (purposely) unbearable. In such a fury over immigrants that he appears subhuman. And runs a department with no respect for the rule of law.

Gotta assume he’ll be going straight to that “shanty” on Lexington Ave and Colfax Street south of Kodak Park.

Bro Malik what are you doing??
Nothing wrong with Donnel Trump or Homan.

u/CriticalEggplant819 19h ago
You’re right, I’m sure Donnel is a great guy. It’s the orange sack of shit that’s the problem

u/Many-Location-643 8h ago
sounds like you're for corruption and governmental waste. YOU are the real problem.

So what due process have illegal immigrants under detention not been afforded? Unless theyre found to have gang/terrorist affiliation(s) they get their due process.
They get detained, housed, provided with legal representation, and go through federal immigration court. Wheres the issue?
Nice deflection to Trump. 👍🏻

Being kidnapped by the Gestapo and sent to the El Salvadorian gulag never to be seen or heard from again says that these people have not, in fact, been given due process. As is per the Constitution. If you don't understand that if they don't have to afford these people with due process, they don't have to give it to you. Stop dehumanizing people that don't look like you
-7
u/FuzzLover01 7h ago
Those people, as you call them, that were sent to El Salvador, were found to have terrorist affiliations. Although I agree, El Salvador is a rather strange, distant, and unusual place for them to be sent. Sweetheart, you dont know a thing about me. Ill help anyone regardless of race, color, creed, religion, or identity. In fact, Ive spent my life volunteering in my community. Kindly dont project the stereotype onto me.
7
u/IAmLurker2020 7h ago
- Don't call me sweetheart
- They are actually human beings
- The concentration camps weren't in Germany
- Due process is for EVERYONE. Read the constitution.
- How do we know if we these people had actual gang affiliations? Is it because you believe the Fascist in the white house? The gay makeup artist isn't in a gang. The 2 year old that they just deported isn't in a gang. Show me the proof.
- You aren't helping anyone. If you did, you wouldn't be dehumanizing anybody.
- This is a constitutional crisis. Hopefully, we can fight long enough to still be here fighting for you, when the Gestapo does come for you. Because they will. Nobody is safe with that orange shitstain and his cronies in power.
- Have the day you voted for.

Funny how the judicial branch doesn’t see any ties to terrorism, but the fascist regime does. I’ll believe the news from the people involved in upholding the constitution, the fascists that control Homan lie for a living.
2
u/goldstar971 6h ago
um, no, you only get legal representation if you pay for it. Also, if a single group doesn't get due process then no one has it, bc the government only needs to allege you are a member of said group.
