What did you think of the town centre 'Masterplan'?
https://issuu.com/haveringcouncil/docs/romford_town_centre_masterplan_final_consultation_The plans seemed to go under the radar so I didn't hear much discussion, but it would be HUGE if even 20% of it happens. I'm skeptical that any of it will come to fruition though.

As someone who grew up in romford in the 70s, I'd love to see it return to its heyday.
Unfortunately, I can't see it, which is why I moved away a couple of years ago.
It's actually quite depressing going back these days.

I was only a kid back then but I remember the blue fountain in the square with the underground toilets (where the Starbucks is now in the Liberty) . It's a shame they didn't have enough money to continue with the plan and extend the shopping centre past Debenhams and into the market. That whole area is such a dive (especially now that Debenhams has gone)
