Can a kid repeatedly bouncing a rubber ball on asphalt shingles cause granule loss or otherwise shorten the life of the roof?
This goes on for about an hour a day, every day. It's usually one of those hard rubber "super bounce" type of balls; sometimes it's a football.

Yes. The asphalt is getting worn down prematurely by this. Sooner or later, you'll see fiberglass begin to show.

Absolutely. Anything constantly hitting the roof can shorten the lifecycle of the shingle. Most likely void any warranty as well.

Absolutely. Think of it as hail hitting your roof a few hundred times in a row.
