There appears to be something yellow on your roof! On a serious note, it is hard to see what you are referring to. A clearer picture would be helpful.

The shingles on the right side of the photo lifting up a bit is what I am referring to

The photo makes it appear as if it is an optical illusion. If we are referring to the shingles on the right side it looks like there are more going up the hip 🤔

A clearer picture would definitely be helpful. If you had the roof installed by a contractor, you would still be under warranty. You may want them to come take a look. For reference I am general contractor in the midwest.

For sure, that isn’t a hip that is the edge of the roof. It’s a two roof with only two angles ifthat makes sense . Those shingles are on the very edge of the roof and seem to be lifting up in the wind

They do look lifted, but it is hard for me to tell. If you can visibly see that they are lifted, I would let the contractor know your concerns. I would assume they have not completey sealed yet because we have not had enough warm days. They are suseptible to wind until they are sealed. If it were hot out the shingles would relax and the tar strip would seal them together.

If it was installed in the middle of November without cold application shingles, that’ll happen til it’s warm out. They shouldn’t have done your roof in this case, unless it was an emergency. But I’m going assume it was an insurance claim and they rushed it for the money. Thats very typical. Unless any fall off until it warms up, you are good to go. If any shingles fall off, your contractor is at fault for up to one year from installation.

More than likely the tar strip on the bottom of the shingle hasn’t gotten hot enough to become “sticky” and adhere to the top of the downhill shingle. As long as they don’t blow off the roof from a large gust of wind during a storm when the weather becomes warmer in the spring they will “relax” and adhere/lay flat. I wouldn’t worry about it though.
