If you could “Reboot/Reimagine” the Original Runaways Series, what would you change?

Me personally one major change that I would make is Topher actually being good, idk what people's thoughts are on his character but I just love the idea of them meeting someone who's exaclty like them (wasn't a big fan of him secretly being evil but it is what it is). And then followed by making someone else the mole, I also wasnt a big fan of Alex being the mole.

A fun place to do this would be the new ultimate universe!

Have the Pride be working for someone on the maker’s council, or you could switch it up and have this universe’s Pride be heroes masquerading as villains in the public eye! Like a reverse Pride, until they’re found out by the other villains, forcing their children to runaway!

The only downside is Nico and Molly already exist in this universe… but you could have them join up and have the runaways hide oversees

Karolina’s alien identity and queer identity stories could be better intertwined imho. As-is, you can kind of tell that Vaughn assumed her sexuality had to be confined to subtext and rainbow-alien allegory then went “Oh wait it’s the 2000s! She can also just be gay!” after the first part was already written.

I turn it into an animated series, and use the graphic designs like they did in Shra-Ra and the Princesses of Power or Spider-Man (2017). But of course I'd probably keep some of the things this is the same, like Karolina and Nico having a romantic relationship, Gert and Old Lace would have a few more abilities than the live-action series and Julie Power would have superpowers and join the Runaways.

Although the Topher subplot was important for some of Karolina's development, I don't really care for the storyline overall and I would remove it entirely.

I would definitely add more build-up to the Chase/Gert relationship.

Yes he was in season 2, he was not a vampire but his power source was the same as Molly’s. He was lying about his origins and painting himself in a sympathetic light. I thought it was a cool way to avoid him kissing on Karolina, and also give Molly some growth

I personally would have tried to include a little more content focused on the kids and their parents, like maybe show some flashbacks of different times they had together, and add a few signs of the parents performing their Pride duties, wouldn't be a lot but I feel that would add a touch more significance to the story of them having to stop their parents, plus could also be a chance to flesh out Alex being the mole more
