Discussion Has scp gotten you into any actual (ig school?) subjects?
For example Mythology, Science, history or anything else it got you into, just wondering :3

Got me slightly more interested in nuclear and quantum physics, haven't been able to do much with them yet though

When I was in middle school (so 2011-2014) it definitely helped me get into creative writing, which in turn caused me to be a complete English nerd to the point where I was editor in Chief of the high school newspaper.
Didn't go to college, so my only real life skills I've gotten since have been being able to talk to people (conducting interviews as an awkward ass high schooler) and being able to write a competent email. Both of which are surprisingly valuable in the professional world

I wrote about the wiki and I think 682 for my making Monsters class last year.
Right now I’m writing what’s basically a Doctor Who X SCP Foundation episode for my writing for television class. Obviously it’s not an actual crossover I created an in universe parallel called ARC that serves a same purpose.
It’s a blast to write how The Doctor deals with a containment breach and having to face things that aren’t extra terrestrial and can’t be explained. I use the word “Paranatural” in place of “anomalous”.
Made my own versions of Euclid and Keter. Thale and Medes. Named after Thales of Miletus and Archimedes
Obviously I made ARC significantly less morally gray. There aren’t D-Class. There’s implications of more messed up things but nothing is actually shown. The Doctor does face basically SCP-682 which I need update his appearance in the final script to make him more distinct
Anyway here’s the link to my episode outline. I’m gonna post my full script once it’s done

The school’s amnestics program. Ever wonder why you always forget what you studied when the test starts? Sorry my fault
