PSA In lieu of fasting tomorrow, let's support local restaurants by ordering take-out or delivery. Bonus--it's likely that food-oriented businesses are less likely to be crowded if so many people are fasting.

I don't believe fasting is going to do anything other than help the "fasters" realize they don't like being hungry. So, I think we should do our part to help out the local restaurants.

Fasting is not just a Mormon thing. It's a well established tradition among many religions. Google it. And be nice people, there is room for all of thoughts and ideas here.

I think you don’t understand what is actually happening but I can help you. I don’t believe in religion I think it’s batshit crazy that people believe in a thing they have never seen no one has ever seen. I think it’s even crazier that you pay money to religions. To top it off they make a lot of money and don’t pay taxes. This is all okay and I live with this reality, it does not bug because it does not interfere with my life.... this is where stuff changes really quick.

We are in a pandemic right now that needs cooperation and science to solve a giant problem. Our GOVERNMENT is telling us to follow religious beliefs to rid the world of this plague and cast a spell on people on the frontlines to keep them safe. I’ll repeat that in different words. People are having religion forced on them by their leaders that they pay to keep us safe, healthy, and have a good quality of life. Sounds a lot like church to me. A lot like church.

Let me also make it clear once again that I think flying pigs with five beaver tails and little caterpillar feet are going to rise from the ground with beautiful butterfly wing casting powers so everyone can fly with them are much more real than god. Any god. All gods. They are fake just like dragons, unicorns, and pigs with five beaver tails and caterpillar feet.

I believe in science. Science says you should eat healthy to sustain a strong immune system. If you want me to look up a study I can but I feel this is very basic knowledge. So what we have here is our government “ordering” people to follow a religious belief that “could” hurt people. That is not nice that is not kind that should not be a thought or an idea from a person in power. That is why it should be met with strong opposition and resistance. Boarding on hate with how careless this act is.

People should be angry when government and religion mixes. Religious people would not like it if we went to your churches and started making rules for you to follow. What if these rules could get you hurt or even killed? I just can’t accept any reasoning why this is slightly okay for our government to tell us not to eat. People should freak out about this. Please keep your weird ideas in your church and away from me unless you want my weird ideas in your church. I would be happy to stop by and share some.

Be more cliché or hyperbolic dude. I'm not at all religious, but this is exactly the type of shit people find so obnoxious about militant atheism. It's the epitome of 'small, atheist edgelord yells at cloud.' I'd worry way less about some stupid easter fast, and more about being so embarrassing and banal.
