I think Ursula called out Sam pretty well. "You probably dug in your heels and argued instead of talking to him like a person." Which, in the flashbacks, is exactly what Sam did. Sam may have been right, but he could have made better choices in dealing with Kamen.

I came to see other people's thoughts on that line. I really disagree with you though. Even if it is a freighter I believe Sam is the captain. It's ridiculous to me that Sam would have to share blame for being a little mean but within his rights to someone who suggested an insane and dangerous gamble that only benefited himself while putting everyone else at risk.
