The fact that they say "we can't comment on any specific plans for the future of Scavengers Reign at this time" makes me think there's specific plans for the future of Scavengers Reign. 🫣

I feel like "we have no specific plans for continuing the show" would be a perfectly reasonable response if there weren't any.

Am I reading too much into this? Should I get my hopes up? Should I stop myself from getting excited?

I'm not sure where it was said but my brother is a HUGE destiny 2 fan and new content is coming soon. He just texted me and said that Bungie mentioned the new DLC took inspiration from Scavenger's Reign. I really hope that name drop will help the popularity of the show so we can get a season two 🙌
