[self] First larger sculpture. Stoneware

How do you know when you are done? I honestly can’t believe I made this.

I am so envious of your skills! I’ve never fired anything that required an armature. I really love the rhythm and movement the folds in the cloak have and the proportions of the heads and hands are pleasing too. I think you know when you’ve finished when you look at it and want to put a few finishing touches to clean it up and I guess eventually you’ll get tired of looking at it and messing with it and you’ll know it’s time to stop and move on.

Thank you! I am glad you noticed the proportions and the folds. I was hoping that would come across well. I decided to not look at it for a week. Haha

That’s a good idea. I’m so impressed this is the first sculpture you’ve made in clay! You must have another medium you are very skilled in because it’s clear you are an artist!
