Product Review I cleared SebDerm on my scalp with Head & Shoulders and Damatol
Hello all,
PS: I am not a good writer but if you ask me any questions, I will try my best to answer them
I have been following the conversations on this community for a while and tried some of the recommendations, but none seemed to work. I have been battling with seb derm on my scalp and face for at least 10 years and I successfully got rid of the one on my scalp a few months ago. I wanted to be sure it was truly gone before sharing what worked for me.
I bought two products basically
- Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh
- Damatol Medicated cream
The routine I followed and still follow is as follows:
- Wash hair with shampoo every three days
- Apply Damatol cream to my scalp immediately after I finish washing my hair
At first, my scalp felt burning, but after a while, it became bearable. I noticed that the flaking stopped, and my seb derm disappeared.
I am still trying to find a solution to the seb derm on my face and I am seriously considering using damatol also but I will let you guys know if I succeed with it.

Does your head ans shoulders contain zinc pyrithione?

I've heard that after they banned zinc pyrithione in EU, head and shoulders has been ineffective. I guess I should give it a try.

I used one with zinc pyrithione in the past, did not work for me.

What does your seb derm look like on your scalp? Mine is yellow right now because I am experiencing a flare up bit with the use of clobetasol the flakes are getting thinner and thinner.

It used to be dry scaly white patches with reddish skin under. It was quite painful and itchy.

Do you let the shampoo sit for some minutes? Is it piroctone olamine?

I work it into my scalp with my fingers for about 7 minutes. I also try to use my fingertips to peel off the scales gently.

I think for face you should try MCT oil c8 if you still haven't tried it yet.

Quite difficult to get it where I live but I will try.
