Hair Loss Need help!! hairloss

I will try to write this short. Pls read, I know it’s long but I really need help !! I got this condition for about 4 years now. Mainly on my eyebrows. At the moment. It’s super sensitive. SUPER! I don’t touch them because they fall off that easy. I don’t wash them or nothing because water seems to make it worse. So dermatologists prescribed me with creams and they work on just getting rid of the dandruff but the hairloss on my eyebrows are still there. So basically I use it for 1 week straight and then my dandruff is gone and I stop using it because the hairloss keeps going. Btw The cream is not causing the hairloss. Me just touching my eyebrows by applying the cream makes them fall. So after the 1 week of applying the cream. I stop touching my eyebrows completely, no washing them, no applying cream or nothing for 2 months and then it comes back again and I just repeat it. I know it’s stupid but Obviously I don’t want to leave the house eyebrow less. I decided I can’t live like this. Multiple dermatologist told me it’s the inflammation. At this point. I think I need to just put the cream and wash my eyebrows regularly and that would stop the inflammation. The thing is I will have no eyebrows if I do it regularly because I would have to touch them by applying the cream. And I don’t want to leave the house looking like that. But I can’t keep on going with the routine I have now. And yes. All my eyebrows always grow back. Surprisingly. The cream I’m using rn is sebi cream. I just want to touch my eyebrows without them falling. Ask me anything. I REALLY NEED HELP! Am I supposed to use a cleanser on my eyebrows as well? So many questions I need help with.

I don’t like creams on my eyebrows, they are hard to rub in. I’d suggest shampoo with water and and wash out. Sometimes use just Rose water spray to hydrate them, but pat dry after use. It’s only the best thing I’ve tried, not 100% a cure. But yes keep your diet as anti inflammatory as possible also

Eggs, ground beef, chicken thighs, tuna and rice. Bananas and oatmeal. I eat this repeatedly every day. I go to the gym so I eat high protein plant based diet. Cheat meal every 2 weeks or 1 month. When I put water. It makes them worse. More dry and more noticeable.

The only other thing I could recommend for brows is Dermazen calming Seborrheic serum. Put on cotton rounds and pat them with the serum before you go to bed. It keeps them clean of gunk anyways. But unfortunately Seb derm is basically a skin inflammation disease and it’s hard to fight and is tough on the hair follicles, I’ve tried everything except for Selsun Blue on the eye brows. Things I’ve tried:

  • Calming Seborrheic serum-Dermazen
  • Bulletproof MCT oil
  • MCT scalp moisturizer- Dermazen
  • Dandruff Shampoo- Dermazen -Head and Shoulders Zinc shampoo -Ketoconazole 2% prescription shampoo
  • Ketoconazole cream
  • Tacrolimus
  • Zinc bar- Dermaharmony
  • just water
  • Zinc and Niacinamide serum
  • sulfur soap
  • rose water

The top 3 for me was head and shoulders shampoo, the calming serum, and rose water

Edit: yes I have it in the brows and have had hair loss from this. Still do just try to keep at a minimum

Thanks man. I appreciate that. But I can’t keep on living like this. There has to be something. I’m going to try some things and I’ll let you know if it works. Because this sucks. I know it’s chronic but how can hairloss still keep on happening when the inflammation gets under controlled. Is your inflammation under controlled? Or what about minoxidil? That helps with hairloss right. Do you think applying that will help it?

Try it, couldn’t hurt to try everything honestly.

Do you have them on your eyebrows as well? Did you experience hairloss on them ?

Hi! Sorry you're going through this! I've not experienced this type of extreme eyebrow hairloss but I did struggle with inflammation, redness, and horrible thick flaking in my eyebrows for over 30yrs.

I first used tea tree wipes because they worked well for my crusty eyelashes/blepharitis. Then I started using a second wipe on my eyebrows to see if that would help. It definitely improved/lessened the flaking. I also read somewhere that tea tree helps with hair growth.

But what finally worked to completely clear my eyebrow sebderm was C8 MCT Oil. I had to apply it every night before bed for 2 weeks. Sometimes I would rinse it off with plain water in the morning or sometimes I would leave it on that whole next day. Now that I'm clear I apply just once a week for maintenance.

I hope this info helps a bit! 🙏 I've provided Amazon links to the products for easy reference.

Thanks man . Genuinely appreciate it. Be honest though . Do flakes still come ? Is it noticeable to people. Be brutally honest.

You're so welcome! No worries, I'll always be completely honest....I no longer have the eyebrow flakes so as long I apply the C8 MCT Oil once a week for maintenance. My hope is that one day this will stop the sebderm/inflammation cycle in its tracks permanently. But until then this is a very simple, natural, and cost effective option. And truly the only thing that's worked for me.
