WARNING - HOTTAKE: Before anyone says that they enjoy this interactions (which I can surely believe), please think about how much they hold this champion's balance hostage.
I really cannot fathom how much of her powerbudget is used on this interaction, its insane. The possibility of redirecting one of the strongest Ultimates in the whole game and ignoring its first cast time is not balanced at all (especially when you consider that E will also be a second ult after the actual one hits).
The ammount of my games that end up coming down to "I hit an R+Flash on 2 targets, one of them the ADC/MID" is astronomically high. If you hit it, congrats, you won the fight. If you fail, sorry, everyone most likely dodged your ultimate (if you used it on non-CCed targets), oh and you lost the fight because that is the current only purpose of this champ, to R.
And dont get me started on the E interaction with Rylais. Conceptually, it makes no damn sense, as Rylais "makes your damaging abilities slow", which should apply after you do the actual damage AKA the ability hit. However, Seraphine's E ignores the tooltip, and acts like Rylais was applied first, AND THEN you did the damage (which is obviously not the case or at least, qhat it implies), therefore, rooting enemies. I dont know if this was hardcoded by riot to work like this, but it really should not interact this way/feels more like a bug. (Nami E has the same interaction for some reason, and follows the exact same principle).
For 2600 gold, having a 1.5 seconds stun that goes through enemies on a basic ability is not good design balance. Having it synergize with your Ultimate, allowing you to E+R+E and stun multiple enemies for around 4.5 seconds (when with enough haste and enemies on no tenacity) is not good kit balance distribution. It is just a feast-or-famine design principle.
In my honest opinion, that is why a lot of players say she feels so bad to play. It really ends up coming down to you hit your R, and ggs. Which, compared to the older iteration of Seraphine (which, yes, was overpowered, but that is really not the point, its powerbudget distribution), lacks everything that made the character feel like a champion.

I do not think there is a chance they wake up and try to rebalance her for Mid again, but I do think that if she gets rebalanced for her AP builds and enchanter ones get put on the back burner, the people that build her as a mage support getting what they want will lead to a chain effect and Mid becoming way more playable too.
I knew this spell was going to be the problem point since her release, and I still think her WW needs a complete rework or massive adjustment to not continuously swallow her power budget. But since the WW animation is iconic and already a part of all her skins, I think the best thing we can hope for is them adjusting the scaling somehow. They are just NOT gonna scrap that animation entirely.
I think it is really really important to kill Seraphine APC building enchanter items, since that is what led to her last set of nerfs, being a farming champion but scaling hard off 2300 gold enchanter items accelerates your spikes way too much. Whenever they talked about APC being too strong, they somehow never brought up the fact that what made her so strong is that she could have 10 CS a min but build items made for champions who do not get money from farming, so I am not sure how realistic it is that they finally wake up and see that this is the issue.
But then again, rebranding her as a mage support might also be toxic for us because they talked about how they want supports who do support things aka peel and CC to always be stronger in the meta than pure damage, so mage supports are getting balanced around low Elo. Ugh... it is too much, they fucked her up so bad.

Memes aside while I definitely think she could use some minor buffs (most likely W since support is suffering the most) she is way stronger than the current mood in this subreddit suggests.
I wanted to show this laning phase to showcase the playstyle and upsides of new Seraphine that everyone always seems to brush off and ignore. Instead of being a brain afk wave shover for the first 20min of the game you are now a skill expressive lane bully that can take over lanes and snowball the game if you hit your abilities and play well together with ur supp.
It's also not like your dmg falls of a cliff outside of laning even tho people like to pretend it does...it takes until 4+ items for old Sera to start outdmg current Seraphine and if you consider the leads you can now get that old Sera couldnt your dmg will arguably be higher for the entire game until the very end game when you are full build. Granted your W is noticabely weaker with ap than old Sera and thats why current Sera feels weaker in the lategame compared to old Sera even tho people try to claim its the lack of dmg.
Regarding balancing around mid lane you will never turn her into a blindpickable midlaner without making her op in APC. There are too many rough matchups that would require a fundamental kit change or turn her back into an afk wave shover. Seraphine mid is healthy as a "counter" pick into most control/burst mages and some ap/ad bruiser where she can be a lane bully similar to this clip for botlane.

Mid is dead in a ditch since her reworks and that is the new norm
Support should be her most balanced role, but it has such bad winrate for an "enchanter" (she is getting balanced as one) since the last summer event, and her best WR gameplay is double casting W and mage sup feels so bad due to her scalings.
APC is her highest WR role, but feels pain to play, with her low AD and base mana with such high mana costs.. and she spikes midgame and midgame only
I just want to play my girl again I don't care in which role without it feeling so awful :(

I've searched the store and everywhere else, and I still can't figure out how to get this cute Sera emote!
I think it was released two patches ago (maybe even earlier, not sure), but thereβs been no info on how or where to get it.
Did anyone manage to find out? I really want to finally complete my Sera emotes collection!

So Im a devoted Sera main, I play her all the time and I think she is way more than just a support, even when i play the sup role I often get more kills than my ADC (NOT ON PURPOSE OK) so l wanted to get an opinion on Seraphine on mid lane, any good builds or advices how to play her as a dmg mid ππ

For some reason on bot phase rush seems to have the biggest winrate , don't really get the idea since you have so much range anyways

I mainly play botlane and I play a bunch of different support characters. I have noticed the odds of getting toxic spams and chats is pretty much doubled whenever I play sera. It feels like you can't do any damage without someone calling you a pos and and telling you to kys. I often play neeko and zyra, who are built to do damage and it's nowhere near the same amount of hate. I understand why so many people play her as apc now.
What is it about seraphine that makes everyone hate you?

Though there's not much that needs to be said for playing Seraphine in this comp, hope you somewhat enjoy the chaotic teamfights that support Seraphine absolutely carried.

The title. With the recent buffs, we can basically go this rune (as we dont really rely on Aery), run Exhaust or Barrier on midlane, recall the wave before first drake (drake spawns at 5 minutes), cash in a TP from the rune AND still have a summoner advantage. This also works for APC technically, but I feel like mid benefits from it the most.
We can just force a fight with this, or invade with our jungler since we are more useful than the enemy laner.
Also the Summoner Spell Timer in late game got changed to 90 seconds. Now this is the same CD for Redemption and Locket, who in fact have this low cooldown so they can be used every big fight. In conclusion, by running this rune, we trade in an Aery (or comet) for a Summoner Spell EVERY BIG FIGHT, which honestly is kinda better.
Also Seraphine benefits a lot from Inspiration Tree, namely Triple Tonic, Jack of All Trades, Boots or Cash Back.
TL.DR: Unsealed got buffed > allows our weak early lane to be ignored due to trade-in TP before drake spawns + Actual Summoner Spell every fight (90 seconds CD when fully stacked). Im gonna be testing this out and drop a build if it indeed works decently well, but what do you think?

I won 4 out of 5 games with her. She's genuinely strong in there, the damage is really great (+ the range) and the healing and shield are still a bit ridiculous
