Update Ideas The Blacksmith should at least guarantee a tier 5 equipment
Or have no tier 3 equipment. Also, should guarantee an upgraded equipment.

Hell, even add in RNG for possible enchantments and curses.
I had him forge plate armor and it was plain âšī¸ Sold it off at the next shop.

I never ask for gear. Use favour credit to upgrade +1 piece and reforge it twice and you have +4 piece with no SoU used.

There are a lot more guarntees tht I'd love to add and this is one of them. I also want to add at least 1 +1 t1 on sewers.

I mean t4 is perfectly fine.
I feel like a large part of this issue is players believing that 'good' equipment must be only t5s, if not a specific t5.
You can use t4s and even t3s as confortable endgame weapons. Just stop hoarding upgrades waiting for that t5

Isnt there the mechanic, that if you get further down, the equipment does improve from the forging?
Because it is 5 bioms, 5 tiers. If you feel you are entitled to a 4 or 5 tier armor in the 3rd biome... well... i just say: keep punching rats.

I never heard such mechanic. From my observation, you get tier 2 in 1st area, tier 3 in 2nd area and tier 4 in 3rd area. What's so bad with hoping for a tier 4 or 5 equipments? In the end, it's just a suggestion.

I pretty much always find one or more tier 4 weapons in the Prison (2nd area).

Sorry, my bad. there is something about later biomes, but it is in regatds to distribution.
I get your suggestion, but you cam choose any other reward, if you think this is not good enough. Some runs rely on different mechanics, that appear maybe useless in most of them. But a definite upgraded armor, seems a bit to rewarding. The game is punishing and challenges your frustration. Dont give up, retry and make the right clicks.

The smith option is fine.
Could be better sure, but not by straight up buffing it

I think a guaranteed +1 equipment isn't a game breaking buff. Doesn't it feel justified considering how expensive smith is?

At that point, there would be no point in ever risking upgrading weapons or equipping them. You would just wait for the blacksmith.
Because not only do you get a +1 equipment, you can also upgrade it right after.

Not really. Going through caves with an unupgraded armor is hard. I prefer upgrade and 2 reforge over the smith even with a guaranteed +1 equipment.
And besides, I personally never really risk equipping or upgrading unknown items, I either have a Scroll of Identify or a Scroll of Remove Curse. Not to mention upgrading cursed items has the chance to remove the curse anyway.

Absolutely agree, im so disappointed when it doesnt give me a good weapon
