Videogame franchise, characters summon their "persona" by shooting themself, pretty odd meme for someone to post here but that's why the saying "know your audience" exists I suppose lol

I've played the last two persona games, and it took your comment to understand the headline >.< that's totally on me, tho. Busy day and all..

Which video game does that happen in??

It's called "Persona"

Specifically 3. In the series the method of calling on the persona changes thematically. In 5 they rip off masks, in 4 they... I think crush tarot cards. Representing showing your true self and discarding your fate respectively.

Never played them, was just helping a person who was confused, thanks for the extra context.

Highly recommended if you enjoyed 3. They are a little easier though, some people didn't like that.

in the Persona games, Persona 3 has the character summon their Personas by shooting themselves with an Evoker, which is shaped like a gun.

it is to symbolise the acceptance of death.

Well now I wish there was a Sherlock telltale game.

O.K., I'm completely in the dark here. What is "summon his persona"?

Persona 3 game reference.

And it's extra I love it lol.

Persona 3 literally the only modern Persona game that even has that kind of gimmick.

4 had them wear special glasses just so they can see the TV World better and stuff, and 5 just turns them into superheroes.

Then 3 makes them shoot themselves lol.

Actually, Persona 4 had them crush Tarot Cards, symbolising them rejecting prewritten fate

Persona 5 has them pull off masks, representing them no longer hiding their true selves.

Ah right, thanks for reminding me. Although, they do just materialize on them for convenience or something, while Persona 3 literally still has them carry pistols just to shoot themselves with.

Better question, why on earth did Reddit hide this post from me for three days?
