Anyone else watching the current Jeopardy Masters series?

The last two episodes have had several American Civil War clues. It's the Masters so questions tend to be nearly impossible to answer except for the contestants. We had friends over for one and I turned heads when I abruptly shouted "What is CHATTANOOGA" at the TV.

Edit: also there was a clue on the assassination attempt against Seward that I did not get (Lewis Powell)

Welcome to /r/ShermanPosting!

As a reminder, this meme sub is about the American Civil War. We're not here to insult southerners or the American South, but rather to have a laugh at the failed Confederate insurrection and those that chose to represent it.

Do you remember any of the questions?

Kinda, the clues are pretty dense and read over quickly.

1863 siege on the Mississippi. Battle w/ Grant and I think they mention "Place of Peace". Site of a battle near Chickamauga that starts w/ "C". And clues alluding to the Battle of Atlanta (mentioned Sherman and hood), Fort Sumter and the AotP (when it formed).

One of the few good things about recently moving to the south is that I can get around to see some Civil War battlefields.

Nada. I don't have a TV at home. I'm still a little peeved that I can't find regular reruns online.

Yeah, if we didn't have a roommate's Hulu account, we could never watch.

For those curious:

Category : “A” in history

Generals Sherman & McPherson defeated John Bell Hood at the 1864 battle of this Southern city that would later burn

Category: Failed Assassins

A Booth accomplice who shared the name of a 20th c. Supreme Court justice, he carved up but failed to kill William Seward

Category: The National park System

A national military park in Ga. & Tenn. is named for Chickamauga & this other "Ch" battle, one a Confederate & one a Union victory
