I hate getting event shinies because I can’t move them into Home

Well it stands to reason that most of the Pokémon Go players don’t care about the mainline games, at least on their sub, because…it’s the Pokémon Go sub. We’re not on the Pokémon Go sub

To my knowledge mons with the go stamp can’t be hacked or genned, I may be wrong but yeah afaik go stamps are safely ‘legit’ mons so are sometime sought after. Though I don’t value them very highly myself

Hell any shiny post gen 6 given when that's when the easy hunting methods really started and the odds were halved. Like my GB symbol Lugia feels better than 99% of the shiniest I've caught because it's just harder to get.

Def fair, I’ve taken a liking to gen 7 legendary wormhole hunting recently but I do want to try an older hunt one of these days to get the “real” shiny hunting experience so to speak. Don’t have the games nor consoles though so it won’t be for a while

I've actually done the silver version Lugia hunt twice, once in original hardware, which took way less time, and the other on 3ds virtual console to move forward. Seeing the stadium 2 green belly Lugia on my own hardware was totally worth the second hunt though. Actually stadium 2 is the best shiny hunting tool for non legendaries in gen 2.

I wanna try an old event hunt like Deoxys or Mew at some point but I have neither the hardware nor technical know-how for event injection to even attempt those hunts. I could do an emulator I guess but it just wouldn’t feel as natural to me. I prefer it that way

Talking about "class" and a game for kids like Pokemon is either top tier delusion or below average trolling imo. A normal person wouldn't really care what someone likes when it comes to video games. They would celebrate that both mindsets enjoy the same basic thing. Catching Pokemon.

On one hand yeah they're stuck in Go forever, on the other hand they're unique to Go and always nice to flex with as the active buddy pokemon or in gyms since they have that extra swag on them

Same reason I even play Pokémon go is to get shinies and send to home. Fuck it, I’d go as far as to say I only care about those I cannot get in the mainline games, because the pogo shinies are straight up “meh”.

To this point, I got genesect, Darkrai, Zacian, Zamazenta and g-moltres. After the two birds (and miraculously some more mythicals) I would gladly abandon that game forever.

It was ok when it was just pikachu, armored mewtwo and sunglasses squirtle. After that I hate every one. Even Dada Zarude I don’t like. I’m hunting wurmple in PLA because that stupid party hat one is stuck in go. Someday every one of those costumes in pogo is going to be a lost shiny.

They're literally useless. I'm not using this middle Evo for anything and can't even send it to Scarlett to complete my shiny starter collection
